Stayed one night in this hotel. I am kind of disappointed. Nothing was actually wrong- the staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. It was recommended to me as an incomparable experience. I would say it's an above average hotel but not particularly spectacular. The location can't be beat but if you're looking for a luxury experience, this isn't it.

Wished we were alerted that there was valet only, but we requested a waived fee for our second car (we had just purchased) and got at least half off. Valet people out front very helpful as well as front desk.

The room was very clean and neat. The bed sheets and mattress could be a bit softer, but overall not too bad.

I have stayed at The Blackwell twice now and have enjoyed it every time. The staff (Ohio State students of various majors) are very friendly and accommodating, and you can't beat staying right on campus. Room service provides decent options and I love the turn-down service (and snacks) each evening. We used the hotel's transportation to take us to dinner and the fair--they will take you anywhere within a three mile radius. The shuttle to CMH was also very helpful if you would prefer not to pay the $30 for a taxi. The rooms are spacious with plenty of desk space.

I was extremely impressed by this hotel. The staff was friendly and professional. Studio 2110 served great food for both breakfast and dinner. The room and the rest of the facility was clean and welcoming. To top things off, the complimentary tea/lemonade mixture was very tasty. I highly recommend this establishment!

Very clean, nice rooms. Convenient location if the roads aren't blocked for special events; this proved more complicated than anticipated. Good service and helpful staff.

I have stayed here many times in 2017 and 2018, the rooms are well-furnished, spacious, comfortable, and consistently clean. The service is quality and I always enjoyed my stay. Please beware, though, the rooms are not well sound-proofed. It is easy to hear your neighbor’s talking, their tv, toilets flushing and people in the hall. They have Bluetooth-enabled alarm clocks, so I would run a white noise app while I slept. They may have improved the soundproofing in the renovations that began in the spring of 2018.

Came here for a wedding and everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly, hospitable and gracious. Especially when there was an accident at the reception and the ambulance had to be called. But the rooms were excellent! Very clean and the pillows and bed were perfect. I would definitely come back.

Great hotel. They employ local hospitality students, so the staff strive to please the guest. It was the most comfortable stay I've had in a long time.

This hotel is on the campus of The Ohio State University. Lovely hotel with a nice lounge area as well as a restaurant for dining. Staff is friendly and efficient. Rooms are very accommodating.

The housekeepers, concierge, and dining room staff were super great! A couple of the people running the front desk were not so great (kinda condescending). I was there for a conference, at which they fed us, and the kitchen really knows what they're doing-- at least by way of veggie food, I can't vouch for the meat. The business center is positively awful, all the computers and printers are ancient and it seemed like no one has done maintenance on them in a really long time. (Luckily there's a FedEx Office not too far away.) This hotel is literally across the street from OSU main campus.

It was a simple hotel, not too fancy, but it had everything a hotel should have. It had a great TV, clean room, and simple furniture. This was a great hotel at a affordable price.

I was very impressed with my overnight stay at, The Blackwell. I was more disappointed I wasn't going to be able to experience more that it had to offer. Unfortunately, the reason we were there was because I had a surgery scheduled very early in the morning at, The Ohio State University hospital. When shopping nearby hotels for the best rates, my boyfriend mentioned during conversation, the reason for our stay. We were then able to get the better hospital rate. I had a relaxing stay in a comfortable luxury styled hotel that made my anxieties for the day to come much easier to handle!

Excellent hotel with very thoughtful and courteous personnel. Clean comfortable rooms with lots of little extra amenities, like a night light in the bathroom, Q-tips in sealed containers, assortment of coffees and teas, and a mini fridge.

The hotel was great. I was upgraded to a king suite for free. The staff was friendly. The food was pretty good. The only black mark is the valet service. It took them more than 20 minutes to retrieve my car at 5:45am. There was nobody else around.

The Blackwell Inn is on the perfect spot on campus and you are able to access anywhere any campus within a small walk. The rooms are well kept and the staff is delightful. Also, the Inn is beautiful.

The Blackwell is always an enjoyable place to eat. If you work at Ohio State, you'll always see someone you know. The service is good, the food is good, the space is well appointed, and of course it's conveniently located.

Absolutely awesome place to stay, the rooms are great but it's really the people who make the difference. There was a snafu in getting my taxi to the airport and a lovely older gentleman valet took it upon himself to fix the problem. I really appreciate his effort! Would definitely stay here again!

Room was great. Staff are very attentive and hospitable. The best service this hotel offers is the free shuttle from and to the airport. Just need to schedule 24 hours ahead. Additionally, the location is great with easy access to the main campus. Medical campus is a bit of a walk away, but unsure if there is shuttle. Room was very clean and amenities are complete and thoughtful.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is even a complimentary shuttle service to get you around town! Nice decor in the lobby and room. Plenty of work space with a desk that span's the entire room. Also has a fridge and Keurig. Bathroom was spacious and the shower had excellent water pressure. Would stay again.

I went to the lunch buffet with colleagues. The service was excellent. The spread was pretty good. Nonalcoholic drinks were included. Overall pretty good experience.

I loved the Blackwell. It was clean, well maintained, and quiet. The staff was all very friendly and nice. The front desk had helpful toothpaste and mouthwash which I had originally forgotten. I was surprised to learn that a large number of workers at the Blackwell were college students. They all did an exceptional job. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I will stay here again if I need to visit OSU.

I've only stayed here twice, but both times were wonderful. Nice and quiet, clean, and the workers are incredibly nice for 4 star hotel emplyees. I've met some really stuck up workers at these kinds of hotels but they make you feel welcome. I'd recommend it to anybody.

I stayed here for one night in business. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The bed was the right firmness with both feather and foam pillows. I liked the Bluetooth speaker at the beside, and there was a Keurig in the room. Would recommend.

We had the conference suite. It was a nice room but the way they handled the bill was unusual. They just shoved it in under our door which seemed a little rude. It was very pretty though and had a good lay out for the room.

I attended a wedding reception and cocktail hour here along with an overnight stay. The accommodations and staff were stellar. Valet service was top notch you sent a text message from the room and by the time you got to the lobby your car was waiting.

I visited the Blackwell with friends when attending the Ohio State game. It's the best place to stay when you're coming to a game. You're in the same place the players stay, you have easy access to all of campus, and the stadium is only a couple blocks away. If you want the full game day experience, this is the place to be. After the game you're going to be stuck in traffic if you have to leave campus, so if you can stay at the Blackwell you're going to have a much nicer experience.

This is a great location, easy access to everything, great service, very professional, excellent food and atmosphere - would highly recommend staying here. Events held here are fantastic as well.

My wife and I stayed overnight for our 25th anniversary and had a fantastic time! Valet parking, concierge was really helpful, Season's Restaurant was incredible! Loved it!

Very good hotel! Stayed here a couple of times when I visited Columbus to attend a conference. The checkin was quick, rooms were spacious, well maintained and it's close to downtown and the OSU campus. Definitely recommend this hotel!

The desert was amazing and the salad was nice but the food seemed to fall a little flat in terms of taste. Not that it was bad but I have had Salmon of identical quality for less.

Clean environment. Room was perfect for the workshop event. Food was good as was the dinning service and tables. Parking was pretty pricey.

Had a very pleasant experience here. The valet and counter staff were very polite and helpful, they even gave us great parking for our 2 motorcycles. The hotel was very clean including the lobby, elevator and our room. The beds were soft with plenty of pillows, and there we plenty of amenities, like coffee, hot cocoa, tea, chocolate left on the bed, wine glasses, coffee mugs, charging stations, desk spaces etc. They earned all 4 stars of their hotel rating, and 5 from me for this review.

While expensive, this place is definitely worth the price. The beds are comfy, everything is in good shape, the rooms are spacious, showers have good pressure and keep hot water for a decent amount of time. The continental breakfast is quite lacking, so plan on spending money if you want more than just a morning snack.

Conference services at the Blackwell are very nice. Catered lunch was well put together. Food was good. Conference room was clean and professional. Service staff were polite and attentive.

The location is solid, there's a nearby parking garage if you don't want to use their valet. I was mainly in one room for my event, not really any complaints. The staff was nice.

Just had a drink at the bar. Not the biggest selection, but it is just a hotel bar of course. The bartender was a little slow. The chairs and design looks nice and there are free snacks!

Spacious rooms with king-sized beds and complimentary coffee/tea from a small Keurig machine. Housekeeping comes twice a day. There is a nice restaurant on the first floor.

The Blackwell is an excellent hotel. The staff, many of whom are OSU students, is wonderful and very attentive. The facilty itself is quite good as well. A good place for a meeting or reception. The dining room and small lobby bar are also quite good.

Spent two nights at the Blackwell. The location couldn't be better if you have business to do around the OSU campus, and downtown Columbus is very accessible via 315. Made to order breakfast is a nice touch. Room was clean and spacious. There is a shuttle ride and from the airport which is nice. Overall a very nice hotel

Parking is difficult, but they have valet. Nice conference center and lunch provided is good. Bar is cramped and appears to be an after-thought

Located on OSU campus, the Blackwell would be ideal for on campus events. We stayed one night. All of the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Would love to stay again sometime.

I attended a university social event at the Blackwell Overmyer Ballroom. As usual, the food was superb, the drinks fantastic, and the staff amazing. I have never had a bad experience at the Blackwell and would not hesitate one bit to recommend it to anyone.

This is one of the best Fairfield Inns that we have booked. From check-in to check-out it was professional, efficient, and painless. Our room was immaculate and the bed quite comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and seemed brand new even though the property was two years old. We would definitely stayedat this place the next timethat we are in Canton.

Hotel was very clean. Staff were professional and congenital. Overall, my stay was very nice. My only complaint, was the refrigerator in my room did not work. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect for me, nice and soft.

The Blackwell was a great hotel. The location is convenient and the staff was superb. The room layout is very efficient as well as comfortable. My early morning flight was cancelled the the front desk staff was extremely accommodating in allowing me to have a later checkout until 4pm!

The food was delicious but the number of shrimp included with the half salad at an $8 up charge was deficient. Lunch buffet would have been a much better deal.

Stayed here for a wedding that was in Columbus. Great location on the OSU campus right near the Shoe. We were not there on a weekend when there was a game, so I feel we got a great rate for our room. Beautiful hotel

Rooms were great. Plenty of countertop space for work. Bathrooms were nice, although the mirrors steamed up because they didn't have a fan. The conference room suite was great for the wedding party to hang out while getting ready. Awesome location right next to the stadium.

The rooms were good. They have a shuttle service to drop you anywhere within a 3 mile radius. It was useful to us to grab a quick bite and go around OSU campus. The service was good and definitely recommend this place!

I wasn't able to spend much time here but the food and drinks were good. (Wedding reception) And the room was clean and nice.

The way I always judge hotel quality, first and foremost, is the ceiling quality. I check this by standing on the bed and touching the ceiling. If it does not fall apart, it is of high quality. The fact that there is not breakfast does not matter because the ceiling is above a five star quality rating. The required $18 per day for parking gives you valet parking, but that fee explains why the ceilings in the rooms and the hallways are of prestigious, high quality product that does not break apart when touching it. If ceilings matter to you, this is the place to go.

I've been traveling a lot recently and my stay at the Blackwell is easily my favorite hotel experience. Wonderful staff, comfortable beds, a huge bathroom, good coffee in the room, and a really nice turn-down service made my stay here absolutely wonderful. Located right on campus, some great running trails can be found about a block over next to the river.

So I didn't book a room or anything but I was late to class and being new to the campus, I was very lost. I think anyone can relate to being frustrated and deathly tired after walking up and down all day, especially on a campus as huge as OSU's! Not only did the staff help me out with directions but they personally drove me to my parking garage. They absolutely went above and beyond helping out a complete stranger. That's customer service. Thank you guys so much!

The location was great, the rooms clean and well laid out, and the staff very friendly and efficient. I had only wished that there would have been a way for me to set the fan on the thermostat to stay on all night.

I have never booked anything with The Blackwell but needed a space that could provide food and a meeting room on a very last minute request. Blackwell came through. Great customer service!
