Lovely lovely hotel. Even as you drive to the entrance, the plants and decor exude style and warmth. We wanted English afternoon tea but the hotel only does that kind of service on weekends. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly.

Had an amazing stay here for a week. Everything has been great as many reviews have said so I will instead talk about the nitpick things to improve first. The hotel breakfast was great, but after a few days of more or less the same foods, it did get slightly boring by the end of it. As well, the beach is not as nice as the other beaches in terms of sand quality or walkability. Other than those, here are the good things: 1. staff is amazingly attentive and English speaking 2. The whole area is quite private and never crowded even though the hotel was fully booked 3. Many nightly activities to choose from 4. We'll stocked facilities from the gym, the pool, the spa, table tennis, darts, paddle boarding, kayaking, mini golf, volleyball... And there is a lot more, all of it was free of extra charge. 5. Room clean up twice a day and on request 6. Awesome night views 7. Buggy service to nearby Westin to explore and use their amenities too. Was a very good hotel / resort experience, would love to come back.

Loved St Regis. New resort, about 2 years old we were told. Great service. Great facilities. Package freebie inclusions may apply for min 3-5 nights stay such as one spa treatment, dinner, cocktails etc.

Loved the beds and large spacious rooms. We got the Spa suite. Dinner options at next door Westin also available for room charge.

BHAR the pop up Middle Eastern restaurant was great to break away from Malaysian, South American and International cuisine, if you stay long enough here.

Amazing hotel with great service and dedicated staff. The fact that it's joined with the Westin also offers alternative places to have your meal or enjoy your spa time. The views are spectacular and the entire St Regis property itself is actually quite compact. Which means you don't have to wander too far for anything. Highly recommend.

Amazing location. Great room and services. St. Regis' butler service and hospitality shows here. There are also a great restaurant at the hotel. One pleasant surprise is that as a guest, you can also enjoy Western facilities which is just a short 5 minute buggy ride away. Great service and great trip.

went here for Shisha but that was closed off because of the rain, so ended up having dinner. It was the best meal in Langkawi, the waiter was kind enough to make-up a mocktail or two for us and they were exceptional.

We got there late, but were made to feel so welcome. Even when they had closed, they set us up in the Lobby and we enjoyed desert in the comfort of the grand marble hall, was perfect in every way!

What can I say. The St Regis is simply stunning. The attention to detail in the hotel is great. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, the service is fantastic and the food is brilliant too. The pool is quite big and the water temp makes it easy to jump straight in.

For a taste of good life, do stay here and you will subtly be pampered. The 2 most outstanding features are the living and non living.
The hotel architecture is marvellous and the people who work here are extraordinary.
Must dining option is Kaya Puti, must experiencing is Champagne Sabering ceremony, bloody Mary/champagne breakfast and the list goes on and on.
Enjoy paradise here

Great room great place to stay in . Well we had the pool in the room suite . And the general pool was great as well. With those bose speakers and the comfy bed it seemed like just the excellent holiday . So why tge star less . Well the beach was not the best and food servings for the in house dining and at breakfast a little off the mark. The menu for food a little sketchy and serving for fish and chips was dismal. The location was a little far too far for a stroll to just buy beer or anything else . But all in if you ignore food it was a great place with good service staff

Beautiful hotel, nice room, great sea view, relax atmosphere, great service and food is good too. Definitely worth the stay if one can afford it. ST Regis has a private lounge for its guest at Langkawi airport too.

Outstanding resort in a stunning setting.

Breakfast buffet is a fantastic selection with many a la carte options including a lobster omlette. However the rest of the food in the hotel is exceptionally expensive. My advice would be to take breakfast then eat out for lunch & dinner. Be warned though - don't ask the concierge for a taxi, they will provide a private car and charge you significantly more (3-4 times higher than the price of a public taxi). My advice would be to download the Grab app and use their service. You'll pay significantly less to get around this beautiful island.

Nice big room clean with private pool facing the sunset (7 pm).
The dinner on the beach: lobster and Tiger prawns very expensive, ended in a tropical storm just before the dessert...let's say a dessert storm.
Breakfast in l'Orangerie is plethoric but the waiters are a little slow and you cannot have hot water to make a tea yourself.
House keeping should be done when the room is empty.
at the bottom of the Private pool there is a yellow grid that hurts the feet.
the diving ladder of the villa is too short to go up from the sea.

Great location and , rooms/suits were extremely well appointed and decored. True getaway spot.

*Few tips*
If opting for sea view, avoid the second floor since the ocean view will be blocked by the palm trees.

Service (especially in the main restaurant) leaves MUCH to be desired. You end up wishing you waited yourself. So many staff but little coordination holds this 5-star establishment behind. Could potentially spoil your stay (hence the 3-stars)

Electricity went out for sometime, and when it was returned water heater was not working the rest of the day. No comms or acknowledgment of the incident by the hotel management.

Some suits have access to a beautiful back yard with private pools, breathtakingly appointed, (not completely private for those seeking privacy.)

Moral of the story - You must be overly assertive to receive a decent service which sadly detracts from the point of going to a resort to begin with.

If you want to get away from everything this is the place. quality of the food is excellent and the ratio I think guest to employee is better than other place that I've stayed, but the staff needs more training on several locations either on breakfast , dinner or kn at the beach the staff we're not very attentive, although they were very nice but not attentive, example would be mixing 2 different drinks if you are drinking beer and ordered one more, most likly their would bring you another kind of beer.. housekeeping staff were spot on.

Had an amazing time here for a week. Brilliant service all round to maximize your experience. Could spend forever on the private beach, it is a small piece of paradise. Was a nice addition to have kayaking/ canoeing & SUP all ready to be used at any time on the beach.

Beautiful place. I was there for a very short stay but it was worth staying.

Lobby: beautiful decorated! While you wait for check in the glass jug has delicious iced tea.

Food & drinks: I loved the buffet breakfast and redang chicken was yummy, never had such delicious French croistoast and thank you for unlimited supply of mimosa 😊. Happy hour was even better. The French restaurant is beautiful but if you are not exposed much to French food just go for great dessert.
Chef and team: Robby and exec chef are very friendly and make you feel at home. Servers are your smiley hosts.

Pool: beautiful spot but spa is not available.

Beach: very nice and relaxing. Saturday is special... discover new cuisine at beach

Overall great experience. Will recommend family and friends and will look for more opportunities to visit again.

A lovely luxury hotel with an amazing staff! We had a really nice stay. Few things to note though -

1. Their beach isn't the prettiest and is really muddy, so if you're looking for a pristine beach hotel, this one isn't for you.

2. There are lots of non-poisonous water snakes and monitor lizards in the water, so not really advisable to swim.

3. The hotel doesn't have a sauna/steam, but compensates with a beautiful swimming pool.

Overall, we loved staying in the hotel, and would love to come again and stay.

The is no word that can describe how gorgeous staying in this resort is, nor is there another that can indicate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. All in all, it should be a big draw for people visiting Langkawi.

However, I gave a rate of 4 stars because of the following. First, our reservation should have included providing a honeymoon cake upon arrival. When we checked in, there was no cake. When I told the staff, they gave different answers; one of the staff said the cake was ready and was brought to the room, but we were not in the room, and another said the person making the cake did not come on that day. Second, the telephone was broken, and therefore I had to walk to the front desk to make an order or to ask for or about something (our room was about a 5 minute walk away from the reception). When I told one of the staff about this problem, he said "oh just press 0" with a touch of sarcasm in his voice ; maybe he thought I had never used a telephone before : ) .

The room 310 is fantastic for me. Such a view of the sea and the terrace. Total tropical luxury at its finest. The gourmet is decadent. The wine selections are perfect. The 2nd stay, I was in 616. The room is slightly different in concept but the living room is seems spacious. The welcoming tray is absolute delicious after a long flight. My neighbor at the presidential suite was so kind to invite me for a night cap.

Modern, luxurious, beautifully designed hotel resort. Only downside for some may be the beach, which they openly admit isn't the best at low tide, but they are actively seeking a solution and there are many more positives to make up for this - the people can't do enough for you, the suites are stunning, the bar first class, the pool more than adequate, and dining at Kayu Puti a real treat. The outdoor bar at the latter is also a great place to enjoy fantastic views of sunsets, with drinks in hand. All in all, if the beach is not your top priority then I'd thoroughly recommend this place. In time they will hopefully find a solution for this too.

The main feature of this hotel would have to be the amazing views that look as if taken straight out of a travel magazine. The rooms were large and luxurious, very clean and comfortable as expected of a hotel of this standard. Going into the hotel, you feel the luxury oozing off of every surface. For breakfast, we were greeted with a huge offer of Malaysian, Indian and Western buffet options, as well as a-la-cart menu, and champagne to jump-start your morning! Delicious!

The main issue I had was with the over-sold butler service, which the hotel advertised as a big feature (not really the reason we picked the hotel, as I wouldn't know what to request from a butler :p).

Unfortunately, I found the service completely unnecessary and more often than not, most hindering in trying to get things done efficiently. We were told that the butler was there to help us with planning our trip (and not only), yet anytime we asked for some information, we were faced with constant uncertainty and delays while the butler was scrambling for information which we could get in 5min from the Internet (and which we ended up doing as we only had 2 days there and could not spare the time waiting an hour to get some basic info).

On top of that, when requesting some additional toiletries and basic things for the room from the service desk, the request was redirected to the butler, and the items never actually made it to us. For such an expensive hotel, it left a bit to be desired as far as basic service is concerned.

There were a couple of other minor issues in regards to service, and more particularly the hotel bar staff. I personally found some of them a bit pushy in trying to sell us more food and drinks than we cared for, as well as being quite misleading in what they offered us, either by omitting information or by plain being confused about their offerings themselves.

All in all, a great hotel to spent some time being pampered if you can bypass some of the mishaps. The view was definitely worth it for me ;)

Lovely outside restaurant - great view, excellent staff, good food (with prices like in London, though).

Also the cocktail bar is probably one of the best ones on Langkawi - the Indian Barkeeper presented his creation for the 2017 season to us as a gift, and it was creative (in a good sense - quite 'animalic' in character, they do their own vodka/local plant infusions which the cocktail was based on), also in beautiful rooms (high ceilings!). Please get a bottle of Maraschino for the Martinez though, that was the only item I missed somewhat, but very good overall!

We were invited to stay and we truly enjoyed our stay ! If you love quiet and serenity this is totally a place to go. A call away to your butler and top notch service from arrival to departure. We were taken care like royalties. Our room was facing the beach and has an amazing balcony. The bed feels like sleeping on clouds and the whole room were decorated with St Regis unique style.

Dining at their signature restaurant KayuPuti surely were the highlight of our stay as Yan, gave us the tour of the restaurant and his whole team giving full attention. Food was sublime and presentation of all the plates were given touch of love and passion.

A must try for all the luxury vacationer lover
