We stayed here just after the 2019 renovations. It is a very expensive hotel, but worth it. The rooms are huge and perfectly designed. The bed (also huge) is super comfortable. The staff, breakfast, the foyer, the private museum, the whole experience really - all faultless. My only complaint is that I now wonder how I will be able to stay in anything less from now on.

Brand new and very upscale hotel. Very spacious and nicely decorated and thought through rooms. Centrally located and with fantastic bar and restaurants on the too floor. It doesn't come cheap!!!!

Coming here in the lobby, one notices that a good old tradition of Japanese hospitality has been well kept in smiles and greetings of every person working in the hall. It is all the more comfortable, as the architectural design of the whole space, including the strings of small lumps hanging down from the sealing, has been kept unchanged so that the whole atmosphere of the hall still keeps the unique combination of the feeling of being welcomed and the sense of calmness which has been running through the history of Japan since Asuka Period in the seventh century. It is not too rigid, not too friendly, but calm and worm.
