Very nice country house hotel. Went there for an Xmas lunch function. It was very nicely decorated, the meal was good and it was all clean and well presented. Couldn't fault it at all and would happily go back.

Excellent afternoon tea. Staff were brilliant, very polite and attentive. Setting is great with huge tables and the food was lovely- got to pick the sandwich fillings ourselves and they were all tasty. Scones and cakes were really nice, plus more than enough cream and jam to share. Highly recommend - look out for offers online, we bought a voucher from Red Letter days and it worked out much cheaper.

Scenic location. Lovely quiet area. Room was clean and well appointed. Shower suffered from low pressure but otherwise okay. Garden outside the bar and restaurant is perfect for working and relaxing. Plenty of on site parking. Breakfast average (good coffee though!)

We stayed here for a wedding when we first got here we thought we nice but when you start to look closely it was not that great I got told a price before we turn up it was £230 pounds we had the money but then when we got there they said not it is £115 pounds for two nights and b&b I said are u sure that right the young girl said yes that right so we payed in full did think much off it any way we was given the key the room was not ready it had all that spear bedding in it. It was not a proper bed it was like a camp bed that pulls down from the wall and a sofer bed for the kids there were thickcobwebs in all off the chandelier no air con in any off the rooms or fans so night time was very hot with all off us in and I ask for a extra pillow and duvet for my son cause he was so hot that he wanted to sleep on the floor they don't have spare bedding or pillows I found the staff get unhelpful and the food I could cook better at home

Lovely spot for a bit of afternoon tea in the sunshine. If it's not too busy you may get the table under the blossom tree. Nice selection of sandwiches and teas to choose from plus a set selection of dainty desserts. And of course scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Very nice indeed

Comfortable, traditional independent hotel with loads of character tucked away and handy for Cliveden National Trust. Good quality restaurant. Lovely outdoor space and must be a haven for weddings in the summer. Not a brilliant range of beers unless they've had an event on when they'll normally have Doom Bar and/or Rebellion IPA on draft - like they have tonight. Room are comfortable and quirky making this a solid choice for the area if you're looking for some old world charm and don't mind the lack of gym and some other big chain benefits.

Lovely place, went for afternoon tea. Sandwiches lovely, scones nice too. Bottomless tea and coffee. Restaurant quite basic but still nice. Lovely staircase and lift, very clean and efficient. Was able to see the honeymoon suite too as a possible wedding venue. Huge roll too bath with shower as well. Mannequin to hang dress after wedding. Huge 4 poster bed, beautiful view of the grounds which go for acres! Guest rooms also exceptionally clean, nice big bathrooms, lovely big bed. Staff very helpful and friendly. Function room nice, Clark red carpets, beautiful chandeliers, terrace area for smoking or chilling out. Only downfall is having to move the top table to side whilst guests are in the same room to make way for the dance floor. Would definitely return.

Nice location/venue, but my experience a little tainted by - No temperature thermostat/control on bathroom radiator so too hot, kept door closed all night to stop main room overheating. Room Safe locked open, presumably by previous occupant and no tea bags in room, both issues lead me to believe low level of room checking prior to occupancy. Most annoying room door kept banging, not sure if caused by wind or just general building movement, but in the end had to get up and wedge something in it to get some sleep.

Went for afternoon tea with a friend. Very pleasant environment and had enjoyable time. My only criticism is that the crockery was very basic and finer crockery would have improved the experience

Rooms much too hot with a very thick duvet. Necessary to take the duvet out of the cover in order to be able to sleep. Lower windows need security stays in order to be able to leave them open safely.
No sky tv available anywhere in the hotel. No fridge in the room so we could not keep milk or water chilled.
Had to ask reception twice for the rowdy people outside to be asked to come inside to the function they were attending, instead of disturbing the rest of us who were trying to sleep.
Breakfast - coffee much too strong, toast brought at the start was cold when we wanted it so we had to order more, some of our cooked breakfast was cold.
We have stayed in a lot of cheaper hotels which offer more facilities for less cost.

Our friends gave us a Red Letter Day gift for an Afternoon Tea. We looked this place up and planned a holiday in so we could visit here on the way home.
We were greeted by staff quickly and politely. Assisted to our table and given enough time to browse the menu choices.
Sandwhiches were delightful and the cakes absolutely delicious. I personally would have prefered one more scone each and the choice of butter as well as cream but that's personal choice only.
To me it seemed like the end of an extremely busy lunch and afternoon tea session so we were pretty much left to it; little staff interaction has it's benefits but it's a draw back if no one is near by.
I'd like to return and stay to check out their rooms as they've got some delightful grounds to look around in.
I did find it disappointing on such a beautiful day there was no shaded/under parasol seating.

Visit the restaurant , hotel is situated just outside Taplow and has a beautifully maintained garden. Food was good and may be just border on the expensive side. However the service was excellent.

Rooms are as you would expect, comfortable and spacious. Staff are extremely friendly and even stayed late to continue to serve us at the bar for as long as we wanted to stay...this really contributed to the night. The food is excellent...can't fault it.

The staff are very friendly, aproachable and really helpful, they are a true credit to the hotel. The hotel grounds are amazing,so well kept and extremely immaculate. The bedrooms are totally gorgeous and huge, plenty of space to move around. The bathroom is stunning and so clean, plenty of fresh towels and all the extras. The dinner last night was awesome, not a tuff bit of lamb in sight, simply bloody gorgeous. We will definitely be coming back. Top marks to the Grovefield House Hotel and it's staff xx

Lovely hotel great service and quality dining experience. Stayed here after winning a charity auction. Very warm welcome and excellent dining. Afternoon tea was good but the cakes outshone the sandwiches which were plain and the range of teas could be more interesting. Chef caters for gluten free very well. Rooms clean and roomy. Staff arranged for my son to meet santa who was visiting an elves function. A bonus was a pair of red kites have made the grounds thier home. Free wifi a bit slow at times but good mobile data signal. Staff were personable and friendly and any areas the place could improve on did not affect the overall positive experience of our stay. I would come back to dine and stay but may look for a more inspiring afternoon tea experience.

Yes - the hotel has been been refurbed. But only part of it. The rooms look nice, but it retains the same 1970s layout, with hopelessly outdated hallways, stairways and lifts. The chlorine smell from the pool is noticable all through the newer (i.e. 1970s) wing.
The reception area is just plain dowdy.
For £119 I expect better. A digital TV service. More room space. How can they get away with charging £17 for a continental breakfast?
On the plus side, the staff are excellent, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom plush.
We stayed here because of a wedding up the road. The staff here are excellent I have to say they served us well and we had a nice stay there. After the wedding we got back and the bar was about to close but they kept it open for us and we had a few in a corner of the cosy bar with some friends. Breakfast was good and we had a lovely sleep. It looks a bit old and worn but it has a nice comfortable feel about the place. It had big open garden as well.
