Outstanding service in the most beautiful environment. Lush green jungle in between limestone cliffs and three beach paradises, and a delightful pool. The little details is what gets to my hearts, Rayavadee goes over the top to make your vacation as nice and relaxing as possible. I dream of coming back here. It’s simply perfect!
We will miss everyone and everything.
Thank you!

You have 5 ☆ hotels and then there is the Rayavadee. As for me I could rate this with lots of reasons ☆☆☆☆☆☆ (6). It all starts with the private pickup van and "massage-seats'. This resort offers quality beyond your imagination and all staff is so friendly and helpful. Rayavadee is for me the PERFECT hotel with the most amazing setting and infrastructure with plenty of eye for details. And everything comes with TOPQUALITY. I would also strongly recommend this for honeymooners. Best ever...

The hotel has been known for its prime location for years.

However, it has already taken on patina and there have been no cosmetic repairs for a long time. The interior of the houses is out of style and the small ponds in the gardens are not well maintained. The motor boats roar from all sides and there is no peace anywhere in the hotel. The employees are employed by a temporary employment agency and the hotel guests are anything but distinguished. Unfortunately, the price is far too high for the noise and the rather old-fashioned ambience. The location is still so nice, but what does it do if it is extremely loud .. too bad!

Its luxurious.
One of the best experiences ever. Trip to Krabi has become memorable because of Rayavadee. Every thing about Rayavadee is amazing. What the eyes can see here cannot be explained through pictures. The staff is so very courteous. Every small need is well taken care of.
Nature at its best here.
Hope to visit again.
The only suggestion is that few activities can be added for guests entertainment.

Heaven on Earth. Amenities and hospitality seldom encountered, all in the midst of natural beauty that made even relentless monsoon rains and wind seem inconsequential. Lush, tranquil, yet still offering and endless array of activities and sights. Amazing.

The welcome was great with one of the best welcome drinks I’ve ever had. The resort in and of itself is beautiful with 26 acres of lush surrounds. However, staff here are very rigid and not accommodating to requests. This is especially so for food choices- their responses for multiple request for changes have been ‘it’s not on the menu, cannot’. To top it off, we have been waiting for room service for 1.5 hours and despite serveral calls, no one seem to have an answer! Not exactly 5 star in my books.

The hotel has a nice speedboat to send us to the island.
This beautiful hotel is set in amongst a lush tropical ‘forest’ that is well maintained.
The place is really beautiful and the we got to meet some monkeys in front of our villa.
The villa is very clean and comfortable.
All the 3 beaches have amazing view. But Pranang beach is definitely a must go place as the view is really amazing and we did enjoy kayaking there.
Lastly the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
We would surely stay at this hotel again in our next visit.

Fantastic service, well appointed and luxurious rooms. Scenery is unreal, you are essentially staying in a rain forest flanked by two limestone cliffs and three beaches (Railay, Phra Nang, and a third I always forget the name of as it's the pier beach and not for swimming). I really can't say enough fantastic things about this resort, it is true luxury in the heart of incredibly natural beauty.

Having said that, the beaches are not nearly as crystal clear as many pictures depict. I found much nicer ocean water in Phuket and of course at some of the day trip islands such as Rok, Similan, etc (goes without saying).

Overall, this is an incredibly unique experience you won't easily forget. A must stay.

Room recommendation: Upgrade to a jetted tub suite. There are only three on the property and reside near Railay beach and the pool, in addition to Raitalay Terrace (or favorite spot for food). In addition, the upgrade grants you complimentary breakfast at Raitalay, which is far nicer than the buffet breakfast at Raya Dining.

You had to access to this resort by boat only. It’s quite secluded. There were 2 beaches here. We tried to do snorkeling around the resort but we didn’t see much. Corals mostly were destroyed. Some fish could be seen though. You could enjoy the rock climbing here. Food was good. There were some monkeys around here too. What we loved here was when we reserved our private speed boat to have a day trip for snorkeling. They prepared a nice lunch basket for threevof us including setting up a plac le on the beach. Our daughter always loves to spend time in a speed boat facing with the wind. Our villa had two floors. Classic style. Be careful of the mosquitoes at night. Service was good here.

Summary: At times feels like a 5 star resort (e.g. at the spa or at breakfast that is complimentary in the higher class), however, we found it overpriced and not meeting 5 star standard.

What we like:
- location
- climate
- less mosquitos than we expected (they do a lot of spraying that helps)
- great with kids, yet no disturbing kids
- spa
- freshness and quality of food, especially at the Thai restaurant and breakfast near the pool
- friendly and kind service

What we don't like:
- heavily overpriced for what you get compared to other 5* resorts or other options nearby
- not everything is 5 star, the resort is 25 years old and in need of renovation. Doesn't meet today's standards.
- staff's English is generally very poor, they can converse in very basic English but do not understand special requests (which is expected at 5*)
- food is good, however, all the seafood is overcooked (at all their restaurants)
- our worst experience was dinner at the Grotto restaurant, which costs THB3300 per person plus drinks plus taxes (7%) plus service charge (10%). All seafood was overcooked and massively overpriced.
- after several days of requesting to fix the air-conditioning in our room, we were told you can't actually regulate the temperature. There is just really cold or warm.
- as others indicated in reviews, the noise from all the boats is really bad. We hope local authorities will action on that.
- when you eat at the beach restaurants, you breathe in all the smog (diesel) from the many boats

We would likely not come back. An alternative that is similar in price is the Ritz Carlton, downside is they don't have a beach but the beach here at Rayavadee is packed with day tourists, so nowhere near paradise feeling. We recommend coming to see the views just like others do as a day trip, or come and stay for 2-3 nights only and eat at the nearby restaurants for a quarter of the price and also authentic food.

The whole scenery is leaving you speechless. Three beaches, very luxurious bungalows, 4 good restaurants, a very nice spa and the environment is very natural. A bit like living in the tropical forests. On top of that there are two different types of monkeys and if you are lucky monitor lizards all over the resort. I’ve been here twice already and would always come back again.

Be an early riser, it’s worth it. The sunrise is beautiful to see around 630am and you won’t see anyone else around on the grounds except staff prepping for the day. The beach is totally empty until around 8am, which is incredibly relaxing, the beach starts to really fill up around noon from people taking the 10-11am boats from Krabi Town, Krabi Pier, or Ao Nang beaches.

The property grounds are almost immaculate, with monkeys about, beautiful courtyards with well kept trees and ponds throughout. The bungalows are very unique and well worth the cost, ranging in price but even the “lower end” ones are impressive and will make your stay here comfortable. Each have their own private seating area outside with a couch or a few benches, great eating and relaxing area. This property is not to miss!

Pros: great food, friendly staff, you have beach front parts of the beach (phranang beach with the softest sand) and railay beach. Kayaks and paddle boards and snorkel gear included. They have a fitness center, tennis courts, indoor racquetball, huge pool, library w DVDs and the rooms are incredible. You feel as if you're staying in the jungle. Monkeys and fish are your neighbors.

Cons: you can only access the hotel by boat so if you wanna see more of the "street life" and street food and little shops you can take a boat or long boat to aonang closeby (10 min). It's also a bit on the pricier side of Thailand prices in general but you get what you pay for, a beautiful resort.

“Wonderfull experience”.
Pavilions are beautiful but little old.Staff are helpful and friendly. The resort is spacious and fronts 3 beaches. One of them (where we arrived) is the transportation beach so not much leisure happens there except for some small local shops and restaurants. The other two beaches accessible from Rayavadee are Phranang and Railay. Both have different features, and we enjoyed them. We also tried the Rayavadee Spa - Signature massage. The beaches surrounding the hotel are stunning, the pool is amazing and we enjoyed delicious food at all the restaurants.

Amazing, relaxing resort that sits on 3 separate beaches (Railay East, West, and Phrangang Beach). All rooms are private, beautiful, and well kept. Food was amazing and all amenities were great. Will be back!

We just had our wedding at the Rayavadee and it was just PERFECT!! The detail that went into it was incredible - from the flowers to the decorations, the food and everything in between. Inthira our wedding planner and her team worked tirelessly from the moment we got there until the moment we left to make sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for anything more. It was the most romantic setting and was made even more beautiful with the finishing touches the team added everywhere.
I would highly recommend this hotel - for a wedding, anniversary or just for an amazing holiday. You will NOT want to leave once you have stepped foot in this place.
Thank you again to Inthira, May and all of the team who put on the most spectacular wedding ever!

Beautiful grounds and accommodation and great service. Breakfast is fantastic and full of Asian and Western selections. Minus one star for over priced food and beverage for lunch and dinner (but that is easily avoided by walking next doors to other resorts and restaurants that are half price). The outdoor pool by the ocean is a big plus. You get to enjoy the stunning scenery without the crowd on the beach. The beach is equally gorgeous when it is not low tide.

Absolutely loved staying here. The place is so beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The pavilions are wonderful and always kept so clean. The service is impeccable and the staff so friendly. The food at each restaurant is delicious, especially at The Grotto (spinach gnocchi...YUMM) and the breakfast were amazing. We were very sad to leave this lovely place and hope to come back soon. We would definitely recommend staying at Rayavadee and hope that you have as wonderful a time as we did.

I wish there were a sixth star, this place is amazingly beautiful..
all the staff were friendly, they greet us from the minute we arrived from the boat. lovely welcome drinks, we don't love the taste but it was pretty..they explain all about the resort and we found it really useful, we got the sunrises, and the sunsets...
they nicely prepared the detail for us, there was robes and slippers for the kids! there were mosquitos repellents in the nice spray bottles, looking like perfumes...
the room is a two story with a nice big sofa with pillows, and they put a picnic basket in the room so you can bring some fruits to the pool or something, or just take a photo shoot in one of the areas there..
the pool is nice, overlooking the beach, the water is warm, they serve fresh fruits..they have some sand toys and beach balls you can play with..
the beach is super nice, and the sand is soft and fluffy with many sea shells...
there are caves you can explore..
there were lots of lizards and monkeys around the hotel so the kids were pretty excited..
breakfast is nice, and you can order some menus and they cook it for you..
there is a library which open 24hours, lots of books and DVDs you can borrow..
you can do kayaking and some other water activities, it's included..
we really enjoyed our time there! and certainly 2nights are NOT enough! we will definitely go back many many times again!

Service is one of the best. It takes 30 min from Krabi airport to pier and 20 min from pier to resort. Breakfast has lots of variety. Food taste is more western. Hotel activities are expensive but you can walk outside to find much cheaper activities.

What an amazing resort and restaurant. The cottages are beautiful on the inside with everything you could ever need while the compound is taken care of really well. The staff here is so detailed too. If you're not feeling up to the walking, they have golf carts on hand for a quick ride around the place. We especially liked eating dinner at The Grotto at sunset. Staff was super accommodating and the view was even more spectacular. The barbecue that evening was also very enjoyable from lamb to Waygu beef to lobster and every dessert you can think of. It's definitely a once in a lifetime stay.

This resort is beautiful and I guess still a good one... BUT I found the staff rather unpleasant and the resort absolutely not kid-friendly. No kid facilities. Got placed in one of the most faraway from the beach pavillons. Ugh.
Could benefit from better cleaning staff too. I had booked a pool pavillon and the pool was unclean for the whole 5-day stay. Ugh again.

First of all we did not stay here. We decided to stay at another hotel on the beach. We were very much looking forward to eating at their restaurant, The Grotto. When we stopped by to see about a reservation we were told that because the hotel was busy they were only allowing guests staying there to eat at the restaurant. Nothing online said anything about this rule. My wife even emailed them months ago to find out about eating at their restaurant. She was never able to get any response. So we arrived here finally on her birthday and we're told we would not be allowed to eat at the restaurant because we weren't staying at the hotel. She was so disappointed!! It would have been nice if they had responded to her email months ago with this information or if they put it on their website. We might have booked our trip differently and stayed at the hotel.

Absolutely loved the resort.
Through its a bit hard to go other part of the krabi due to its location, the resort itself has so much to see already. They have 3 private beach, rock climbing, beautiful cliff and caves, free sea kayak and wind surf board for rent, four restaurants, and your room a like a tree house in a huge tropical garden. Oh...we also saw some wild animals, e.g. monkeys, squirrels, fishes in the ponds, a meter long lizard 😰.
Staff are nice and helpful, speak good English.
I especially like their toiletries, they even provide after sun lotions.
The only two drawbacks are: the room has two levels, means u will have to walk up and down from ur bedroom to the front door. Also....the mosquito is everywhere , even they supply repellent in ur room...its hard to avoid them.
Overall...i really enjoyed our stay...wish we had booked to stay longer, for the offpeak season price, its good value for money 👍.

My wife & I got married at Railay, and had our wedding reception at Rayavadee on Hat Phra Nang. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. From the beginning of our stay through the end, we had an amazing time. The facilities and the rooms are gorgeous, the meals amazing, and the service is really first-class. The private location is mind-blowingly incredible.

This is easily the nicest place to stay in Railay, with prices to match. But you get what you pay for. Definitely worth a splurge for a special occasion.
