One of the finest hotels in Michigan, closer to the train stop New Buffalo, so easy to get there from the station on foot. Quite visible as well. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, yummy food, great outdoor sitting space is available for dinning as well to spend time by the waters in the evening. Climate is pretty amazing and the staff will help you for your enjoyment. Daily cleaning is done; massage is available on request (based on the therapist availability), nice bathrooms with bath tub. Lift is very slow and you have to wait a bit longer. I was using the stairs to be fast. Fire place is available in some rooms and in the dinning area as well. Some might get free cycle use to roam around; near by shops available.

EVERY Staff member was extremely friendly and accommodating, especially the Manager Patrick, both on the phone and in person. No other hotel has the location convenience that this one does if you want to be within walking distance to the beach, downtown stores and restaurants. We had the Village View Suite and it was clean, spacious and comfortable. The delivered breakfast basket is a nice touch. This was our 2nd stay here, and when we return to New Buffalo, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We got a "Romance Package" which was cool because the kids got a bunch of snacks and chocolate dip and I got a bottle of really great champagne. Pool was fantastic. Hotel was quiet. Bed was comfy. Sons shared the big L-shaped couch and said it was great to sleep on. Breakfast is included and is a little different than usual. They give you a paper and you pick what you want and hang the paper on the door. It then arrives in a cute little picnic basket. The breakfast options are lacking; basically bagel, oatmeal, cereal, etc. No eggs or hot foods like that. They forgot our cream cheese for our bagels BUT they did give us a whole carafe of coffee so that's a total win! Heck, you can't beat FREE! We stayed at their sister hotel the prior two nights (marina grand) and i, personally, liked the marina grand better BUT the marina was a lot more expensive. The kids actually liked this hotel better because of the snacks and pool. So if you want a stellar deal, a lot of perks and a nice room, come here. If you are ok will shelling out $400 for a condo-like room then do the marina. Either way you'll have a blast.

Loved staying here. What a great place for a little get away. They have bike's and beach supplies to use. There is also a great outdoor patio.

Above average hotel. Rooms and beds are very comfortable. Pillows are really good—not a stiff piece of foam or fake feeling.

Amazing staff, beautiful property, quaint and cozy beach town. The views are stunning at the beach. The restaurants are so great! Their delivery continental style breakfast is just our favorite. It makes mornings so easy with a toddler!

I think we were a little disappointed for the high price we paid. The rooms were nice as we had a fireplace, king size bed,and marina view. We even paid a little extra for some champagne and chocolate strawberries etc. The breakfast delivered in bed was only a choice of cold foods. Nothing was complimentary beyond the breakfast. The Ben and Jerry's ice cream delivered upon request 24/7 was $8 quart. Even water at front desk was $1. Come on at least have complimentary water. It is in a good location and everyone there was nice. I probably should have done a little more investigation before to know what to expect.

Great hotel. Great staff! Beautiful rooms and comfy beds/pillows. Loved the quietness of the room. The two person shower was an added bonus! My one complaint was the furnace. It was rather loud and kept waking me up. Other then that I highly recommend it!!

Nice hotel. Loved the complementary breakfast. Great quality stay for the price. I also enjoyed how clean it was when compared. To other hotels. Spotless sheets and towels were to be found. In addition to all these perks there the concierge was extremely helpful and friendly.

Nice, quiet location, clean hotel with clean rooms. Breakfast is delivered to your room. Our room included a fireplace, which was extra nice on a chilly night. Beds were super comfortable, especially compared to some of other places that we've stayed. Great place for a quick getaway, hope to return soon!

I have not tried every hotel in New Buffalo but after this, I think I can confidently say it's the best one! Came here with my wife for 2nd anniversary, and definitely got the royal treatment. King suite is top notch, restaurant downstairs is very swanky, but make a reservation or come early enough to stake out a seat at the bar. Try the Smoked Negroni!

Beautiful hotel in town New Buffalo overlooking the Marina. We arrived to complimentary sparkling water and a Vosges chocolate bar. The room had a whirlpool tub and fireplace. A. Complimentary continental breakfast is brought to your room at anyone you choose. The restaurant was very good and the hostess accomdating since we arrived late and without a reservation. Wonderful stay.

The location of this location is very convenient, as its about 2 hours from Chicago. You can also take the Amtrak which would make a for an enjoyable weekend trip without the car.

The place itself is quaint, with an assuming lobby and reception area. It definitely does not feel like a typical hotel. The staff was very helpful explaining where everything was and the perks included in staying here. The on site restaurant had a good variety of food and reasonably priced.

The breakfast in bed was very convenient. You had choice of breakfast rolls, cereal, fruit, granola, coffee/tea, etc. It would have been nice to offer simple warm options but we made due and it was nice to be able to stay cozied up in the mornings.

The room was nicely situated and had a fireplace to keep you warm. Keep this in mind that if you have the blankets on & fireplace running, you will get warm.

The location was sweet, just off the marina and Lake Michigan. Was a very easy walk to a few bars/restaurants. As I said, there's enough to do within walking distance that you don't necessarily need a car for a weekend trip.

There is a decent pool with jacuzzi and a tiny workout room, but would rather take a hike on the small dunes just off the Lake.

We came late December so we missed the summer fun activities but we do plan to return for a future weekend to enjoy the west side of Lake Michigan here.

Greeted warmly at late check-in. Gloria at the front desk went out if her way to ensure the bar would honor a free Wine tasting that came with the room, Brandi at the bar was equally awesome... Room was nice and comfortable with great views... Breakfast Basket is excellent.

Overall, I had a really great experience staying at this hotel. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The bar downstairs had great drinks and was very visually appealing. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and came in a cute basket. And the best part was the free smores that you can make outside with a view of the harbor. Highly recommend!

Great hotel, near the boat harbor. Friendly staff. Free shuttle to casino. Pool was clean. Rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was free and delivered to room, had basic breakfast items such as yogurt and muffins. Would stay again.

The staff was very accommodating. The location can't be beat in new buffalo. Breakfast in bed is a wonderful touch.

The suites are very spacious and beds are comfortable. I was also provided with free breakfast - the granola is homemade and delicious. I attended a retreat at the hotel and used the conference room, which was modern and spacious. The only wish I had was for a larger fitness center.

The Harbor Grand is a very nice hotel. The staff was tremendously friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the marina. The complimentary 'breakfast in bed' was a wonderful touch and quite tasty. The food and cocktails in the restaurant were top notch. Frankly, the Harbor Grand is a great reason to visit New Buffalo. I would highly recommend this hotel.

What an awesome place to stay. Myself and two good friends went up there a couple days ago. We loved the room with 2 queen beds. There was a small table with 2 chairs. The wonderful staff brought us another chair without hesitation when we called. We're Cubs fans and wanted to watch the game from our beds. They sent 2 gentlemen to our rooms to remove the TV from our cabinet and placed it on top so we didn't have any obstructions. Fresh coffee is provided 24/7. We loved the s'mores down stairs in the bar area. The bathroom was huge. We loved the whirlpool and separate shower. The pool area was beautiful. Loved the view of the harbor. Great hot tub. The water was perfect in the pool.

The staff at this resort was phenomenal. Such charm, professionalism, courteous, so very helpful. I'd also like to include the staff at the restaurant downstairs. We ordered 3 salads and my friend went downstairs to pick them up. Such a beautiful salad, fresh, celery, cucumbers, tomatoes. They supplied all silverware. They added to our basket of salads, fresh bread and wonderful garlic dipping sauce. They even put in on the side 3 delicious lemon cookies.

I loved The Harbor Grand so much that a friend of mine wants to go up there tomorrow because of the high reviews I've posted on my Facebook page. I'm driving back up there tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to another beautiful time. Rain or shine, it's going to be awesome at this 5 star resort. Absolutely beautiful. I can't wait!

Wonderful place! We enjoyed out harbor view where we kept the balcony door open to hear the ducks wake us up in time to find the basket left for us by the breakfast ninjas. It was just cool enough to have the fireplace on, very cozy! We hated to leave the room, and with mimosas with breakfast and a Been and Jerry's hot line, why would you need to! The staff were very kind, we can't wait to come back!

Attended a party for two friends celebrating their wedding anniversary. The room we were in was beautiful and perfect for the amount of people in attendance. The food and service were great, the background music was at an appropriate volume to hold conversations.

I had a town-facing room, that had a sitting room, in addition to the bedroom. The room was clean and well appointed. I appreciated having the sitting room, because I was travelling with my parents, who had a harbor- facing room across the hall. Their room was just a bedroom, so it was nice to have a place for us all to sit on the couch and watch TV in the evening.

One of the highlights is having breakfast delivered to your door, at the time of your choosing. My father very much enjoyed the blueberry muffin bread.

The staff was very helpful. We also liked having coffee and tea available around the clock in the lobby.

The hotel is well located for the beach, Amtrak and the main street for shopping and dining. Good for senior citizens as well as other travelers.

My wife and I stayed there for a weekend get away. It was nice we basically had the place to ourselves. We went in November which is great because the rooms were so much cheaper then. We did a wine tour and it was very convenient because they picked us up at the hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here 3 or 4 times over the last few years, rooms are nice and comfy, resturant is excellent, staff has always been accommodating to our needs. Great place to get away for a weekend out. Views out of the window are great. Nice size pool. Fitness center was also very nice. Sometimes they have happy hour in the lobby and serve wine, crackers and mingle & talk with other guests.

Service was a bit sluggish, but they were quite busy for the hour of the day! New Buffalo is a quaint place to visit.

We used thr casino shuttle at the hotel for a bachelorette party. Quick and easy way to travel back and forth and centrally located downtown New Buffalo.

My family and I had dinner and everything from the drinks to our entrees were great. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. If you're in town and have and are looking for a place to have a good dinner it is worth it. I would recommend that you make reservations ahead of time in the summer months.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Harbor Grand and could not be happier with our selection. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating helping us with dinner reservations and area suggestions and even sent us complimentary champagne when we'd mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. The bikes, Ben & Jerry's service and morning breakfast delivery put this place over the top!

Service was great as usual. The HG has become our go-to place for visiting SW Michigan. The terrace restaurant was closed for renovations, but we went to their sister property and had a fantastic meal. The new breakfast muffins are spectacular as well!

Spacious room that was well lit with natural lighting and with fixtures at night. View of the harbor from the king room with a fireplace, adding a romantic touch. Ample space in the bathroom with both a full size shower and rather large jacuzzi tub. Room was clean with plenty of outlets, a fridge and easy to use temperature controls. Wifi with a decent range and speed. Coffee and tea available in the lobby 24/7 with someone at the desk 24/7 as well. Restaurant is located on the lower level with an awesome wide selection of foods and drinks. From comfort foods to fine dining, drinks from everyday bar to fine wine. Beach is within walking distance with plenty of night out, any age friendly bar/grills also only a couple minutes walk away. Plenty of parking in a well lit safe feeling lot. Bikes available for rent (free with the room when we were there) with an indoor pool. Quiet, romantic, an all around great place to get away, for a weekend or a week, with your entire family, friends or just significant other.

Great hotel with a great staff. We enjoyed the complimentary in room breakfast every morning. It's also a short walk to the beach and they provide bike and beach chair rentals.

We arrive a little after 6. As soon as we opened the front door, we were hit by the lovey smell of food coming from the restaurant down stairs. Checked in to the hotel and had a very friendly greeting. Was stud with all the amenities that they provide. Let's just say Ben n Jerry's 24 hour hotline. Breakfast was pretty awesome. They bring it to the room and set it out side the door bundled up in a picnic basket. I'll definitely be staying there again.

Room was nice and comfortable. View was great. Indoor hot tub and pool were nice. On site massage was great. Breakfast was good and delivered to my room at the exact time I requested. Staff was nice and helpful. New Buffalo is a small town, but the hotel is within a block or two of the main restaurant area and beach, so it's easy to walk to things to do.

Experience was, as always, perfect. My wife and I love this hotel and is on par with establishments that are more expensive and pretentious. Every member of the staff, down to the cleaning crew, that we have encountered are kind, courteous, and exceptional when it comes to customer service. The rooms have been nothing short of spotless. They have gained a repeat customer.

My husband and I went to this hotel as a romantic get away after our reception. This place is so adorable. Gloria checked us in and was very helpful about all the questions we were asking. We ate at the stray dog across the street (great food!) and came back to go to our room since my husband forgot his ID at home in GR. (grrr!) ..we were planning on going to the casino. Gloria asked us how our meal was and when we explained he forgot his ID and we would be staying in tonight she offered us a free pint of ice cream because we were staying in and were disappointed about not going to the casino! She was SO nice ! The breakfast basket was so cute and we loved the idea of breakfast in bed! We wanted to go to the bonfire to make smores but it was so windy and cold we decided to pass. But the fire was lit until at least 10pm! (it said it stopped at 900) I loved this hotel. We will be back!
