It's OK...
As the title says, it's OK.
My room was clean and tidy although it was in a separate building out the back of the main hotel, across the carpark.
Big screen TV in the room although it would only pick up Sky Sport.
Double bed was a good size although it was actually two singles pushed together.
Good onsite pub serving very good food, although it was full of loads of football fans watching the match (I don't do football).
Check in and check out was slick although they messed up the billing putting both rooms on my colleagues credit card.

A friendly and welcoming place that’s well looked after. I’ve never stayed overnight but the restaurant and meeting facilities are really good (as is the food provided for meetings). The gym is fairly small and quite dark, but it’s got a good selection of equipment and a nice atmosphere - the changing facilities are well kept too.

Lots of parking spaces, however once inside it is not labelled well, we went for a spa day and had no idea where to go, staff were very rude when we asked for help. We went down to the spa enterance and the woman on the desk who showed us around was lovely however the women outside of the spa were also very rude and unhelpful. We put our things away and went to the swimming pool, the sauna room was way too hot and was definitely not set at the correct temperate so we went to use the hot tub instead as we stepped in a man twice my age gave me dirty looks, I asked if something was wrong and he just rolled my eyes and me and then proceeded to shout at me ‘can’t you read the signs it’s being cleaned’ I didn’t even notice the sign and if he’d have just said nicely I would have got out straight away, I felt very intimated and left that area immediately and didn’t want to return. As we went early to use the facilities we now had a lot of time to kill so ended up sitting in Starbucks until it was time for our treatments, if I had not already paid for the treatments I would have left immediately. The atmosphere was very cold and just awkward. The treatments were relaxing and the woman made me feel very comfortable, I would recommend the treatments but definitely not the facilities. Will not be returning again, if you’re around that area I would definitely recommend titanic spa in Huddersfield, more pricey but you definitely get what you paid for

Very nice hotel. Queen size bed,, clean, compact bathroom. Big tv in room as well. Starbucks attached so the wife is happy. Set in beautiful grounds and far enough from main road so you don't hear the traffic.

Good business hotel, with excellent gym and pool facilities. Restaurant and cafe offer a limited range, but fitted my tastes. Parking not a problem.

First room i was given had been used. Found unmade bed and drinks in room.
But instantley moved to new room

I go to the gym here and love it. Really nice pool area with lovely sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Great place to relax and unwind.

The venue is very well presented both on approach and when you arrive inside. Food and drink are reasonably priced and every member of staff was courteous and helpful. I would recommend visiting or staying.

We attended the gym and leisure facilities including sauna and the steam room. Facilities were spacious and spotless. One of the best changing rooms I've happened to used. The sauna and steam room were both decent temperature unlike some others we've been to. Not the largest or deepest swimming pool in the world but enough to do a few good laps. Will definitely be returning.

Nice and trendy rooms, great stop off on the way up north from Essex, very busy on Sunday, great Sunday lunches.
Wish people would use the parking spaces available around the back and walk through the hotel instead of blocking all the verges trying to be close to the door. We all need a little exercise in our lives getting to the gym!

V good Sunday lunch. Lots of pate and slices of pork pie etc for starters. Hot soup. Hot pudding apple crumble. We'll worth £13.

Love the village hotels, we've stayed in a few different ones now and each one is great.. Foods lovely, atmosphere is always nice, great pool and spa. Will always look for village hotels when looking to get away for a few days

Stayed one night before flying out of Leeds Bradford airport. Well situated for getting to the airport. Lots of parking but was quite busy. Had food in the restaurant which was nice, if a bit over priced for what you got. Husband had paid for a set menu though. Clean, smart room with comfy bed.

Nice hotel location with large free carpark. Starting to get a little tired, fittings loose and damaged, check in did not go smoothly, self check in not working, reception gave us disabled room when we refused it were told it was not a disabled room. With low fitting and emergency pull cords it definitely was. Next room offered was cold with view over heating ducts not good. If receptionist had been more interested in us than the lad hanging around reception might not have happened. Noisy guests partying in rooms and corridor till early hours of morning did not help sleeping. No brochures in room with Tel number of reception or times of pool and restaurants opening times so we're left guessing much of the info that should be at hand. Restaurants have some good offers on and food is very good, would stay again but not necessarily first choice

Enjoyed the hotel, breakfasts excellent, staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Especially as we were staying at an exceptionally busy time Christmas Eve through till after boxing Day. All facilities very good. Will definitely go again.

Really pleased with my stay here! the decor was very modern and stylish! the bed was really comfortable!.. the bathroom was lovely and modern.. Staff were helpful and friendly!..always important!.. As a bonus we got the room at a really really good price as it was booked as a Black Friday deal so was well worth every penny!! I would definatly recommend staying here, and I will be staying here again in the future.. Nice and easy to get to if your not from Leeds also!

Attended a work event and stayed the night. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of space. Breakfast buffet was enjoyable. Staff are lovely. Would stop again

Had a lovely afternoon and night at The Village. I'd highly recommend getting the leisure pass and taking in the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Rooms were modern and comfortable

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Newly refurbished room, friendly and helpful staff. The spa facilities were great. A well stocked bar showing Sky sports. The Verve Bar & Grill had a good selection of meals. Altogether, it was a fine stay with everything as it should be. A big thank you to James in reception for his help and knowledge of the local area. Really looking forward to another stay very soon. Thanks again.

Comfort, clean room. Great breakfast. Welcoming pub. Fantastic facilities. Excellent value and standard with Autumn 241 offers. (£45 BnB.) Room list prices and published food prices however are severely over priced without offers for standard of hotel. Would stay again if similar offer/per night price were available.

The check in took literally 30 seconds as its all touch screen and you do it yourself. Very handy. The room was spotless, spacious and very modern.
We used the sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and pool, all were good.
We had an evening meal, which was free from a set menu, or £15 off the main menu. The food was very good and we were both stuffed on just 2 courses.
We went to the bar afterwards. It was fairly quiet but had excellent service so we were happy.
Breakfast was full English and continental buffet. Plenty of choice and was all hot. Very nice.
Checkout took 10 seconds, which was great!
Overall, highly recommended.

Great facilities and rooms are a great size. Bathrooms could do with a small amount of work, but would definitely recommend a stay if you're in the area.

Lovely comfortable big bed, and enormous TV in our room, but our room which unfortunately stank of perfume. Bedside table only on one side of bed, which was awkward. Very nice clean bathroom. It would be helpful if they pointed out at check in that the first light switch in room is a master switch for all the electric sockets. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both well cooked and nicely presented, the tea was awful even with an extra tea bag in pot it was like dishwater, coffee was just filter coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Empty shower gel and shampoo. No kettle in room just one of those pod things. Need a map to work out where your room is. Food good in restaurant

Attended the hotel for a course, looks quite grand on the outside, and it is clear there are lots of facilities. However the conference room for the course was a little bit small for the number of people who attended and it was also too warm. Overall a nice venue.

Stayed overnight in a standard double room, which was comfy and well equipped. Only problem was that it was a bit warm. The swimming pool and spa facilities were very good. The pool is large but be aware that they may have aquafit classes on too. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. If booking through a third party website, check to see if swimming and spa is included. They wanted to charge an extra £5.

Beautiful rooms. Clean. All you could want in your room and more. Beds lovely to sleep in. Can't honestly remember when I last slept so well!!!! Staff brilliant and helpful. Would love to stay again....i will if in the area again. Think you to all the staff

Clean modern room, good breakfast although limited continental choice. Bar and restaurant serve good quality food, but lack a large range of choice. Very friendly staff and good gym and pool.

I went solely for the gym and pool facilities. Good, well equipped gym, and plenty of machines so no waiting around. The pool is quite large for a hotel pool and has a hot tub, sauna and steam room, which was great.

Me and my friend used the spa facilities for the day and it was amazing. We received really good spa treatments and overall we were very impressed.

I was there for a training day with work. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Really clean and very polite staff.

Went to see gym and pool, pool is fantastic, but the gym was a little messy with machines that have clearly not been taken care of. Was going to join on a membership but the gym changed my mind. Bar and restaurant is amazing with big screen for live sports.

Decent breakfast and nice tidy rooms. Got the rooms on a special deal so absolutely brilliant for the price.

Lots of facilities and parking. In the room the included coffee machine didn't work. Initially one of the floor lamps didn't work either until we messed around with the plugs. Worryingly the panel under the sink with the toilet roll holder came completely off the wall. Was very noisy when it fell off and not really something you want to think about as an overnight guest. Housekeeping also knocked at around 9:30 so be warned if you want a lie in! Lovely big tv though and very nice rainfall shower.

As a new member at the gym I'm impressed with the facilities. Especially the pool, which is paired with both a steamroom and sauna. The bar area is large and has a big screen which is perfect for watching sport too

Attended for a spa day. Lovely relaxing day. Treatments brilliant. Facilities great. Had lunch in the bar. Great food. Fast service (quiet period).

I was at a reasonable adjustment workshop for disabled people. It was noted how small and high on the toilet door signs are. Not accessible for visually or physically disabled. Otherwise beautiful venue

For a newly refurbished hotel this is not very well thought through. It's pleasing to the eyes but not practical. There are 6 pillows yet not 1 spare socket in the room. There is no big light but 5 ineffective small lights around the room which look good but give a minimal amount of light off even communally. The hotel is aimed towards spa weekends so if you're staying at a weekend don't expect a peaceful night sleep. There are lots of loud groups of girls who seems to loose all respect for others. There was a weird constant water tank like noise in the room. Very annoying! There were no sockets next to the bed for a phone to charge. The 2 sockets that were for the bedside lights were not standard UK sockets so even if the inefficient light was unplugged the sockets could nt be used. So less time on making it look nice and making it more time thinking it through fro a practical point of view may increase your customer loyalty. By choice I will not be returning. #nooneneeds6pillows

I use the gym there and it's good. A lot of new machines ( within 2 years old) and generally quite quiet unless you go right after work. There is a pool also and classes you can book onto.

A good hotel. Like the food and service. Good place to meet..
My son meets his Auntie at this place every few months.
They are a child friendly place.

Just joined the gym having trialled it throughout December. Changing rooms are of a good size with plenty of lockers and showers. The gym floor itself is a lot smaller than other gyms I have been to, but plenty of equipment and floor space to do what you need to do. I only go during the day though, so no idea how busy it is in the evening. The pool is large enough for a decent swim. There is a sauna and a steam room which I tend to use. Parking never seems to be a problem when I visit either.
