Amazing. Great location. The staff were all so nice and helpful! Reyes was our favorite. They practically did everything for us at the hotel. Also, the breakfast was probably one of the best meals we had in Barcelona. The hotel itself is very trendy and great for pictures. Also, champagne once you check in!

One of the best hotels in the world. There was NOTHING that we didn’t like or would improve upon. And now with the hotel being closed to provide housing for Caronavirus victims, there is no other hotel for us in Barcelona. We will be back soon!

They welcomed us with drinks (water and cava). The check-in desk was very attentive and kind. When we got up to the room, we found that the room was decorated for our trip! Also they gave us free wine and chocolates. I highly recommend this hotel for their care and service.

Sublime and elaborate decoration, for those who love the beginnings of the twentieth century British interior design, it's a an old building; very well adapted to a 5 star Hotel, with a nice 5 star bar, comfortable rooms, very nice staff (too many questions but Ok!!!) And; a bit expensive. As any other quality little thing in this world...!

Fantastic hotel! The staff is friendly and helpful, and they all speak perfect English. The rooms are plush and quiet. There’s a nice view (Sagrada Familia!) of the scenic side of the city from the roof. The building has an interesting history and great architecture. The location is very convenient. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have stayed at some wonderful hotels, both in the US and Europe, and our stay stay at the Cotton House was one of our best. The place is immaculately beautiful, with old world charm and highlights. The staff was courteous, very fiendly and prompt with any request - the nighttime front desk staff went out of their way to help us during a late night flight crisis (last minute flight cancellations).

The room itself was comfortable, well appointed, with a amazingly comfortable bed. After days spent walking, and nights spent eating, it was a nice quiet place to come back to relax for the next days adventures.

The Cotton House is the place we will stay on our trips to Barcelona.

Truly a beautiful property! We have been pleasantly surprised how quite the room is at night. We have a street view room and the windows do a remarkable job at keeping sound out.

Have barely used the elevator because the spiral staircase is so beautiful. The pool on the top floor (6) has remakable views of the city. However the pool is rather small and the gym is the smallest I've ever seen (1 elliptical, 1 treadmill, and several small weights).

The have a nice breakfast. The setting is open to so many windows and the outside courtyard. Such a pleasant way to wake up and spend the morning.

Staff service has been wonderful! Everyone is pleasant and helpful.

Also, this location has been phenomenal for walking to all the various attractions.

A beautiful hotel with so much history. The room was very well presented and it had everything you need. Very stylish hallways. The food was exquisite from breakfast, lunch to dinner. Very friendly staff with a huge knowledge of the local area. I enjoyed my stay and I’d highly recommend this hotel to others.

I love Autograph Collection hotels, I think they're always beautiful and well curated and this the Cotton House is no exception. The space is a former atelier and textile house and they really go hard on that fact. I would warn black folks from the US particularly that this theme of cotton could be found extremely uncomfortable or offensive.

There is raw cotton in all of the bedrooms and cotton imagery everywhere. It's not acknowledged that Spain's textile industry depended heavily on importing cotton produced first by American slavery and later sharecropping and it's something that's uncomfortable as an American.

The hotel is fine though. Breakfast is good, beds are okay etc.

It is an amazing - classy - premium Hotel. I had the chance to go to the bar area that is spectacular. I love their terrace, mostly in summer where you can enjoy from sunny Barcelona, good weather and the unique decoration of the Cotton House. In colder seasons they have colder stoves to hit outside. The customer service is excellent and fast. The prices are high. However, it is worth it to pay a good price for a luxe experience.

Great hotel that really caters to English speaking clientele. Rooms are very nice. Bed was very comfortable. I loved the shower/bath wet room. The gym is a joke. Breakfast is nice and they actually serve coffee in carafes.

Loved the outdoor deck for sitting outside. Friendly staff and great cocktails. Great location in Barcelona! However, there's a smell (drains) which creeps up through the plumbing. It may be this way in most hotels since it's prevalent throughout Barca, but at these prices, I'd expect no smell. Comfy beds as ever with Marriott.

Wow...words cannot begin to describe how amazing this hotel and the staff has been for me and my husband. We are on the first day of the first leg of our honeymoon and I already regret that we will be leaving the Cotton House in 4 days. The managers and staff have shown us the most incredible customer service I’ve ever experienced and I’ve stayed in really nice hotels back home in the US. They did so many personal touches to make us feel so special once they found out we were honeymooning that I am totally blown away. The hotel is picturesque but it’s the people that set it above anything else I’ve ever experienced. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to return in the future!

Hands down - best hotel we have ever stayed at!!!! The entire staff was AMAZING. The hotel is so relaxing, yet still fun and upbeat. Our room was small, but perfect. We had clothes sent out to be cleaned and they smelled SO GOOD, we almost had them wash everything - like we need to know what they use - we still dream about that scent. The staff really made our stay unforgettable - they were wonderful!!!!!! Reyes was our absolute favorite. He went above and beyond on everything for us - helping us with cabs - literally running down the block to get us one quickly, giving us tips on what to do and see around the city and just always making sure we had everything we needed and more!

Perfect location, central to many of Barcelona's attractions. The rooms are clean, modern, and polished. Service was excellent, very helpful concierge and front desk. Beds are very comfortable, the shower is also superb. The building has history and is wonderfully decorated. Highly recommend this hotel, my experience was extremely positive.

This is a wonderful place very boutique, great history very relaxing environment.
The location to the center of Barcelona is outstanding easy 5 minute walk. The food was excellent but pricey, but many good restaurants close by. The rooms were very nicely done with great bathrooms and showers. Be sure to ask for the tour when you sign in or you will miss the history and the library. Great bar.

Second time staying at the Property and it was even better then the first. From the greeting by the Doorman, to the exception check-in staff to the wonderful note left in the room by the manager the hotel is top notch. The restaurant and bar servers could not have been nicer and the hotel is just an exceptional piece of architecture. My only disappointment was that Jonathan the bartender was on holiday and I did not get to see him. The service I received from the intern Bartender from Switzerland on Saturday and the amazing bartender and server on Friday were second to non. I am a life time Platinum Marriott member , it would be hard to find a better experience while traveling. Thank you Cotton House Staff for a wonderful visit

Very neat/historic building. Good location within walking distance of many attractions. Friendly/accommodating staff. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. Overall, really great hotel that I would return to.

An old mansion turned into a modern hotel. Pricey but a class apart. They have Spain's tallest suspended staircase which is a marvel. Overall good.

Excellent location and staff. The concierge recommended 4 great restaurants over our stay here and they were all great!

The building and environment are very, very nice and the location is also good (read one review that thought the Gran Via was isolated) - mid way between everything - and walkable. HOWEVER - the service is VERY inconsistent. We had a poor arrival/check-in, excellent concierge, but the bar and restaurant were all over the place - from fast and personal to slow and impersonal. Our room was poorly serviced one evening./excellent the next. The A/C cut off after an hour or so and the room got way too warm through the night. IT SEEMS THEY HAVEN't been able to figure out what service level to give and the staff seemed poorly supervised (didn't see a single member of management - or anyone identifiable as management). Finally - €31 for buffet breakfast - ridiculous guys - get a grip! We will have to really think hard about whether to use this hotel next time.

Wonderful old historic home/office converted to a 5 Star hotel. Small but nice rooms (ask for floors 1-3, ceilings are much higher), great roof terrace for dinning and drinks. Oh and the staff, really helpful and nice!

We chose to stay at the Cotton House for a few different reasons: being a status member of Marriott, the location of the hotel and the great reviews we read online.

Upon arrival we were greeted with warm friendly smiles and a complimentary glass of champagne which was a wonderful gesture after such a long flight/journey there. The ambiance of the hotel was stunning. We loved every detail of the hotel, from the entrance to the staircase, to the bar and even our hotel room. We travel often and stay at various different hotels throughout the world, but we have to say this was certainly one of our favorite places to stay.

Being a status member of Marriott, we enjoyed complimentary breakfast every morning. The breakfast selection was enormous and certainly more than I expected. I certainly enjoyed the spread of fresh juices and pastries each morning, while my husband enjoyed many of the hot breakfast items made to order.

We also took advantage of the concierge from time to time during our stay. While we did a majority of our research prior to arriving in Barcelona, we also wanted to ask for a local take on some places to eat, drink and entertainment options. They did a wonderful job assisting us and the communication was excellent if they needed more time to get a hold of a venue or restaurant.

Above all, the service was probably the highlight of our stay here. The service was absolutely outstanding at this hotel, and certainly for that alone, we fell more in love with this hotel than any other hotel throughout our Europe travels. The level of professionalism, the warm smiles and the willingness to go the extra mile - left us speechless. There were 2 staff members who really left a long lasting, positive, impression for us: Alexis Peres and Sergi Penawer. They were part of the night staff team. They were very well rounded individuals who gave us some of our favorite recommendations for eating and drinking in the city. We would come back each night, greeted by their friendly smiles, a small chat, and we'd be on our way. Both of these staff members really went above and beyond for us. We want to give them a very big thank you for making this stay even more enjoyable for us.

This was a really special trip for both of us. We were already celebrating a very special occasion and the hotel and the staff really went above and beyond to make it all the more special.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of the historic center. There are plenty of restaurants and metro stop nearby. The hotel is located in a historic building, which is also very interesting, with many common spaces.
The rooms are large with extremely comfortable beds. From the upper floors there is a very nice view of the city. We had breakfast included, which although continental was excellent with a great selection of dishes.

Very nice property in a renovated historic building. Boutique Marriott brand with 83 rooms. Rooms are well appointed and the whole hotel has a very nice cotton theme decoration throughout. We needed a few things during our stay, the staff was friendly and committed to helping us with whatever we needed. One night we requested a courtesy item from the front desk, and since they didn't have any they decided to send someone to get it for us at no cost. If we visit Barcelona again, we'd love to stay here again.

The checkin service was very professional. Rooms have super comfy bedding. Breakfast room is artfully designed and a pleasure to be in and all the staff are smartly dressed and attentive.

The Terrace is gorgeous. Fantastic place in the heart of Barcelona.

This was honestly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff was amazing, the drinks at the bar were great, the rooms were clean and spacious, and I felt welcomed and amazed throughout the hotel. The staff were the highlight of the stay; they helped me do everything I need to from carrying luggage to hailing a cab and they did it with a smile on their face. A fantastic stay.

Besides the hotel - that is amazing and very well decored - it's a good place for a brunch, coffee or dinner. The restaurant has very good staff, and a pleasant terrace, whereyou can be quiet under the sun drinking your coffee. Go see the library too, very cosy place.

Great atmosphere in the hotel, the first floor with the bar and library is especially a unique experience. It is a great feeling to have a drink in that professionally designed interior or stand on the balcony and watch the buzzing and at the same time quiet street.
The ONLY but BIG enough let down is that courtyard view in the booking means facing a firewall that is literally one meter away from the window. In this pricerange you don't expect such cheap lies from the management. I could only feel sorry for the staff when they had to apologise several times to me and could not give a free upgrade (not even when there were rooms available) but lousy free drinks voucher at the bar.

It has been opened for just a couple of week. Ok, the place is beautiful. The integration of original features and modern elements is a great achievement as it is the restoration work but I’m getting a bit bored with Lazaro’s (interior designer) style. I use to love it but not anymore. How many places in Barcelona have his signature? The list is getting very long….. A couple of problems with the service but the sort of thing that one can expect from a new place. They dealt with the situation fairly well… Looking forward to enjoying the massive and lovely terrace in the summer. The cocktails are amazing…!!!
