Beautiful hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Amazing Christmas tree in the reception area and nice newly refurbed rooms. Breakfast is good too with strong options. We had a long wait for eggs Benedict one morning but the second day was much smoother. Great location too

This is a peaceful place that feels like home in Munich. We had breakfast with our 5-year old twins, the food and service were outstanding, waitress was super kind and patient with our kids, at one point the chef came out and brought them baloons! Great place!

Start by ordering off the menu before going to the self-serve. I recommend the omelet (I asked for everything).

The sausages were tasty, the Chinese dumplings were authentic, plenty of drinks (iced tea, kiwi, Apple, orange, sparkling, etc), warm mini croissants, lemon cake, yogurt... basically everything! They even serve Chinese congee/porridge (was a bit runny but pleasant to see it as an option).

The live piano in the evening brought a classy atmosphere.

Rooms were nice. Good shower options for those who prefer rain vs standard, digital water temperature setting, and bathroom mood lighting.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night and was completely blown away by the quality of the hotel, the staff and the overall service. The room was eloquent and modern with touch sensitive controls, extremely comfortable bed and all the comforts of home. I was greeted by the valet of the hotel who carefully parked my car in their secure parking. Our bags were waiting in our room along with 3 small delicacies. The spa is extremely clean with excellent views of Munich from the balcony. A definite when staying here is to enjoy breakfast, the quantity and quality is superb! I will definitely be back and have already recommended this hotel to friends.

I have relatives in Germany so I visit Munich quite a lot. My cousins and I visited a few times the hotel lobby for small bites, champagne and the newly appointed restaurant with Bavarian cuisine overlooking Maximilianstarsse is the best. I have to say that I have never stayed at this hotel and do believe it delivers better service at a lower rate than Mandarin Oriental. Cant comment on the rooms but bar lobby and restaurant are certainly high class with professional and smiley personnel. Overlooking the Fifth Avenue of Munich hotel vier jahreszeiten is the place to stay and enjoy. Alex Ludwig certainly knows how to run this hotel and its obvious as it is successful in all its aspects delivering excellent service at all times. I really enjoyed the hot chocolate also the lobby is the best ever. Only one disadvantage is the fact that I found the menu on lobby rather limited in terms of food variety and wanted more choices. I have to emphatically point the fact that I do contend is the best hotel in Munich so go stay and enjoy. Especially for Christmas I love the decorations at the entrance of the hotel so have to plan a stay there also.

Really world class. Make sure to take advantage of the concierge service (Armin is awesome!) - they have excellent restaurant recommendations and can make reservations for you. The breakfast is also really outstanding.

Great location! Classic style hotel design that is in need of an upgrade in some parts of the hotel. The rooms are nice but not special. No amenities in the room like nespresso machine or tea. The view for most rooms is a poor bit of grass with 30 neighboring room windows in plain sight. Breakfast is fresh and nicely laid out, but small selection, nothing extraordinary. It's a good hotel, but $400/night is way overpriced.

Absolutely fabulous. Friendly service, incredibly comfortable beds, great showers. EVerything was exquisite. We even forgot some diapers for our toddler and they ran out the next morning to fetch us some. We'll be back!

Suppose to be 5 stars. Bedroom comforter has dust and dirt. Unchanged or old bed linen.
Not all staff are well trained. Some items used were not topped up adequately.
Stayed 4 nights here. If they could improve just a little. Quite a nice hotel actually.
Breakfast : Odd system of putting the guest towards the back of the dining room when the front window seats are still not taken. Waiter had a pointless diffrence of opinion when we wanted to sit next to the window which was obviously not occupied. ( She said : "Other guest will be coming down to sit there" )
We asked. Can it be reserved ? - answer was : No. So what the fuss all about ?
Aren't we guest of the hotel ?
This should not have happen in an upscale hotel like that.

Very luxurious hotel located in the centre of Munich, on Maximilianstrasse. The hotel is five star rated with plenty of amenities on site. The Staff can't do enough for you, bedrooms are sumptuous and the lounge is very comfortable.

If you can afford it, this is a great place to stay for a very relaxing break.

This was the best hotel I've ever stayed at, and will be until I visit another one in this chain. I was so impressed by the friendliness and genuineness of the staff, like no other experience I've had. Staff went out of their way (whether it was checking in or using the services of the concierge, valet, etc.) to help orient me to this part of the world and had wonderful suggestions for me which were aligned with exactly what I wanted to see, do and experience.
This was a phenomenal visit, and I highly recommend this top-notch hotel to everyone who has quality of service in mind.

Fantastic location and very nice staff

Attended a conference in this hotel and stayed for four nights. Big conference room, good facilities, with plenty of spaces for coffee break and sit down for private discussions. Plenty of choices at breakfast, good food with fresh fruit drinks. Room is spacious and comfortable. On the street where all the luxury shops are located, easy walk to Residence and old town. Pool on top floor is beautiful.

The best for the first of the material is a good day at work and I don't want you so much for the first of all the time I was just thinking about it and it was so much fun to watch it with me and I don't want you to be a little bit of a new phone number

I thought this was a really good hotel and I had a very good stay here. The location is great right in the centre of Munich city and with in walking distance of all major attractions including the English park.

The room I was given was a newly renovated one and as such it was very nice indeed. The room itself was not too large but it was very nicely decorated and very modern. You have the mod cons, a well stocked mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine and very good sized TV. The air conditioning could be stronger, that is not to say it does not work, it just takes.

The bathroom was very large with an automate Toto toilet which does take some getting used too. There is no bath tube but rather a walk in shower room with both a standard and a rain shower.

The front desk staff, all staff come to think of it, where very pleasant and polite and extremely helpful with no issue being too large to handle. I did not try the Spa or any of the restaurants so I cannot comment on them.

My one comment would be that being in the centre of the city there is limited amount of space that they can use for valet parking and thus this area is very small and it can take time to have your vehicle brought up from the parking. This is not a major issue though.

All in all this is an excellent hotel and I am very glad I stayed here, I would definitely come and stay here again.

It was a so great hotel that I never experienced like this. All the staffs were totally kind and gentle, especially the concierges were tremendously smart and enthusiastic to support the clients.
I ask them vary many troublesome affairs including booking train tickets and opera tickets, packing the box, finding lost mobile phone. But they solved everything!!!
I don't know the exact name of them, I really appreciate all the things they did for me and my daughter. All the staffs working in this hotel were really passionate and compassinate. I like this type of culture of organization. Surely the CEO of this hotel would be a good leader!
Surely I will stay in this hotel next year also!
Additionally even all the foods in restaurants or room-dining were ausome.

Munich presents a stark contrast to Berlin. It is peaceful and free of the scars of war. Gosh, they hit the beer parlor from morning till night. Not being a drinker, of any alcohol, I feel funny and out of place every time I walk into one of those parlors. Yet, I warm toward these marvelous people who, despite their sad history, have snapped back to life with zest. Everywhere I go, I feel the warmth of being welcome. Even on a train traveling from Paris, I had to call ahead to my hotel, the Kempinski, for a limo for pickup. I must have looked lost that time, coz a perfect stranger looked up from his seat and inquired if I needed help. He made the call for me, and assured me that the arrangement had been made from my hotel, the Plaza Athenée, in Paris. Germany is perhaps the most organized, friendly, and lovable country for tourists.

Our second stay at the Kempinski Munich and it delivers in all aspects all the time for what is a brilliant hotel in Munich!

Having stayed here just before Christmas with my family, it's such a different feel as opposed to summer which is to be expected. The ambiance within the hotel is warm, friendly and you feel there is always someone more than happy to help if need be. The level they go to for the Christmas theme / experience is amazing.

I couldn't fault the hotel and it lived up to my expectations from our previous stay without any trouble at all.
Perfect location and central to just about everything.
The Breakfast / Brunch on offer is terrific.
The staff are amazing right from the concierges to the front desk staff. Having flown in a day later than my family they could tell it had been a long flight and it was late at night so they parked some of the usual check-in requirements until the morning and sent a welcome drink to my room.
