What happens when you run out of superlatives to describe something? You end up with the Casa Delfino experience. Our room was beautiful, impeccably decorated, and luxurious. Breakfast was delicious, house made, creative and traditional, prepared by a talented chef. The property was old Venetian luxury redone and beautifully reimagined as a modern classic. Margaritte and her staff were professional and familiar. It seemed to us that they all enjoyed working there. This benefitted us since we felt like welcomed and important visiting family members rather than random guests. If you have mobility issues request a room with elevator access. We had a room, with a private patio, but it was accessed by a beautiful marble staircase. We didn't mind the steps. Casa Delfino is IN old Chania Town. You cannot get any closer. The location is perfect, set back in a quiet section of the Venetian neighborhood, out of the main thoroughfare of tourists. You must use the rooftop lounge. You must take your breakfast in the center courtyard. You must use the spa. You must stay at Casa Delfino! You will never forget the experience. The hotel and staff were great! The staff was super helpful and we were able to keep one of our rooms for a late checkout. They even prepared a boxed breakfast for us one day when we had an early morning activity. Everyone was so friendly and the rooms were beautiful. Thanks for a great stay.

I've visited a week ago. Being obsessed with spa treatments I find this spa beyond my expectations. The girl that gave me my treatment (her name was Pui) was an excellent professional and had great energy. Everything was super clean and all the staff super welcoming! Highly recommend this hotel or at least a visit at the spa!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Delfino. Margarita and her team - Maria, Antonis, Pei, Maria, Alex, Georgia, Lefferis, Theo - provided exceptional service and made our stay feel truly special. Lots of local recommendations for the charming town of Chania and organic, yummy treats onsite. We'll be back!

More than just a 5 star hotel

We’ve stayed in many luxury hotels hotels but this one was noteworthy beyond the accommodations. First, the personalized service. From the moment that Alejandros zipped down in the golf cart to the (free) public parking area to welcome us and escort us up the winding streets of the old city and to our room (up the stairs, yes - you may have to actually walk up a couple flights of beautiful marble stairs!) we felt like we’d discovered a home away from home. We were captivated by the warmth and service every member of the staff provides — Chrissy, Marie, and Margaritte, the proprietor, who couldn’t have been more available and helpful in making our time in Crete an experience we’ll long remember with amazing suggestions on sightseeing and the best restaurants! We even made new friends in the courtyard at breakfast because of the relaxed vibe of the hotel. For all of that, many thanks and bravo the Casa Delfino team!
