Top spa, beautiful nature - outside pools are the best I’ve ever seen. Good variety of sport activities and decent kids club. 4 starts because of the food. It’s terrible! Especially in the Italian restaurant. As dinner is included in the price, wich isn’t cheap, you’re kinda let without a choice. Even simple Arabiata tastes here like nothing, with undercooked sause and an aftertaste of Glutamat Natrium. For vegetarians there’s no hope at all. Risotto with raw peas and paprika - yummy. Maybe the problem are waiters, wo can’t communicate with the kitchen? In good Restaurants you can tell them what do you want to it and they’ll cook it. But not in Elmau. They also don’t hesitate to charge 7€ for a Quelle water, and never offer a simple tap water, even as an addition to the kids menu. i wish in the future you’ll be able to avoid eating in Elmau and have options where foods is excluded from the offer.

Hands down the best and biggest spa I‘ve ever been to in a serene mountainous setting. Amazing food buffet, friendly and personal staff. I stayed only one night for my birthday and when I walked into the breakfast restaurant the hostess recognized me and expressed her birthday wishes. So attentive. I dream of returning soon.

Outstanding hotel! The best we have ever been in Germany. You can rest yourself completely through many different activities. Stuff are very friendly and helpful. We're going to visit this hotel again and highly recommend to anyone who wants to really enjoy.

One of the world’s best spa hotels. Extraordinary alpine and secluded setting, beautiful architecture, focus on yoga, wonderful programming of classical and jazz music concerts. Very good programs for children. Library, bookshop and lectures on literature by well-known international writers. Unrivaled in anyway I can imagine.

Wow, this is the most beautiful place to go on vacation.
Everything is perfect. The surrounding area, the accomodation (beautiful big rooms, great shower, spectacular view) with lots of attention to details. Restaurants are good and the service is impeccable. You have lots of space so even when the place is at full capacity, you feel good.
It feels like a royal palace.

To conclude - this is heaven on earth.

I’ve been almost everywhere, I’ve stayed in some of the finest places, and Ive never stayed in a place even remotely like Schloss Elmau, a resort and spa nestled deep within the picturesque Bavarian Alps. So much more than just a resort, Schloss Elmau is a cultural hideaway which hosts artists from around the world; every few nights would present a line up of incredibly talented musicians or illuminating talks, such as the former head of the World Bank discussing the politics of the world. For us, this was an incredible place of rest and relaxation with impeccable spas and selection of top notch restaurants. Professionally trained staff with incredible heart made for delightful service and an easy and smooth administration process. Their rooms, view, and vibe were all exquisite and their extracurriculars (including cross country skiing, snow showing, dog sledding and more) were organized by well trained professionals. It was a pleasure to meet the grandson of the founder and current owner, Dietmar Mueller-Elmau whose enlightening conversation added to the depth of the experience. The General Manager, Nikolai Bloyd and his team were also of the highest order and infused with the Elmau spirit, which is something you can’t describe but only experience. And to top it all off, all of this for such a great value.

Very good, very very good, but when we talking about style there is some eclectic things. Am not subjective, I was there one time just couple hours.

Rats in restaurant! Grossly over-rated & exorbitantly overpriced for what you get. There surely is nothing deluxe about the rooms, the "deluxe" double room is a tiny shoebox size 20sqm space & the bed is NOT a double bed, it's only slightly bigger than a single bed. Linen is not pure cotton, it's hard cheap polyester & the towels in room & sps are of poor cheap quality too & are completely worn out. The facilities in the spa are not fragranced, nor are any oils put into the steam rooms & saunas so they smell really bad of perspiration & damp mould.
The entire facility is in need of a complete restoration as it's extremely old fashioned & outdated & had that repugnant old antiquated smell- it's 100 years old & does feel like you're stepping into 1917 when in there!

Jansey the lady who checked me in did not inform me that there is a nature spa so throughout my stay I was unaware of it there4 unable to use it.

It suits all your highest expectations. Just an amazing place, for relaxing, sports, basically everything you could imagine. It's definitely worth the money

Surrounded by beautiful nature, relax is guaranteed.. highly recommended to take a look at concert plan in this hotel, so when you are there, you can enjoy the concert, attend the spa, and stroll through the nature.

Everything is very special. The landscape is fantastic. Service is very. Gentle. So many things to speak about. Bed, bathroom, Mobile, decorations.The breakfast buffet is very good. The point about this is in SCHLOSS ist better than Retreat. The music is so good and relax.

Luxury hotel with the nice restaurants, one of that is awarded by Michael Star (Luce D'Oro). It really worth to enjoy dinner in Luce D'Oro and to relish the masterpieces created by the Chef - Mario Paecke.

Wonderful experience! Extremely attentive staff and high quality food. A historical hotel with a wonderful ambience where its guests feel relaxed and at home. Can only recommend the schloss elmau experience to those who value a refined experience in the midst of breathtaking bavaria nature.
