The apartment we had for 3 days was excellent. It was clean, in top notch condition, and nicely heated in winter. The location is perfect, with so much to see and do, and many eating options. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

What a brilliant stay ! Everything was perfect. We were welcomed by staff members at Reception Shuba and Eva who gave us the run down of where everything was and we're really engaging in our reason for our trip to London. They were professional and demonstrated a really high standard of customer care and engagement in my opinion and could not have been more helpful. Our room was perfect in fact had far more facilities than I would expect such as a full size fridge, cutlery, Microwave and the largest wall mounted TV I've had in a hotel room ! , and I travel extensively in Europe as part of my employment. To finish our stay we also had a wonderful breakfast with a very large choice and selection of foods available . So a great job everyone, and would have no problem staying at this location again or recommending it if your looking for somewhere handy for so many of the Capital's attractions.

the hotel is located in the center of london minutes of walk from covent garden major theaters the soho and oxford street. Holborn underground station which serves the picadilly and central lines is just around the corner one minute of walk. Cross the road there are bus stations that serves more than 10 bus lines which makes public transportation very accessible and easy to use. The picadilly underground line will eaven take you to Heathrow airport. The breakfast is very goos. You have all you need: eggs, vegetables, chees, fruits ham and sausages. the room we had was very large and comfortable and included a fully equiped kitchen including a large fridge. They do everything they can so you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. even laundry fasilities for good price are available. and finally the price: the price for all of mentioned above will be double in any other hotel in the region. In summary we had a great time in this hotel and we are defenetly going to come back in our next vacation in London.

I absolutely loved this hotel! We booked the slightly larger room with a kitchen and washer — it was spacious enough for two people, spotless, and beautifully designed. There were plenty of power outlets, cozy ambient lighting, a smart TV, and complete amenities. We even stored our luggage here for a few days before our stay while we went to Edinburgh, and they kindly let us do it free of charge — a huge plus since not every hotel allows that. The location is super central, just a short walk to Holborn Station, with a Waitrose right across the street and tons of restaurants nearby.

I had phoned the hotel the week before we arrived to ask about parking (we were only staying for one night), was given directions to the car park that the hotel use - phoned them again on the day asking them for the directions just to be sure as we were travelling from Devon, they gave me the postcode of the car park, when we arrived at the car park and pressed the intercom button we were told it would cost us £35 to park there overnight, why wasn't I told this either of the times I phoned them? They even said "are you aware that it's a £35 fee to park here overnight?" implying that they knew we wouldn't have know/been told before we got there. Also arranged to have breakfast at the hotel the following day, the receptionist told us to sign for breakfast and that it would be an extra charge - we were really looking forward to having a full English but all they did was continental?

We loved here. Staff are very friendly.
You can keep your luggage over night for traveling other town outside London and come back to pick it up,which is free of charge. And they provide coffee makers machines in the lounge for free
the most impressive thing i like is the kitchen and cooking tools.
The location is very comfortable for traveling to the interesting places or shopping in London by walking such as Covent Garden or London Eye.

Great location! So close to all the theatres and Covent Garden. We had a studio with a kitchenette. The room was a good size and all facilities were good. Didn’t give it a 5 star as the towels were small and threadbare, there was actually a hole in mine. Please please replace the towels! They let you down!

Been a Citadines regular for almost 10 years now, but mostly in SEA. Citadines Holborn needs to have its facilities updated. Heating doesn't work in the room, and staff sent up a small oil heater which is not enough for a 0 degree night. Would I return? Yes because the service team is trying their best to accommodate and the price for the location and size of room is still reasonable.

Pretty decent stay. They don't service the room for 7 days, so if you stay less than 7 days, you're on your own. This turns out to be a plus and a minute. The plus s that you don't have to sort of clean up every day allowing everyday room service to clean up. You can have things set up the way you want and can afford to be messy. In the other hand, things like toilet paper, towels and garbage has to be managed. It can be tough.

I've been in a lot of hotels and this one has the same price as a 5 stars hotel. It's true that it's really well located, in downtown. If you are hungry, you can cook by yourself in the room cuz there is a kitchen in the same room. It's not the best hotel even so is not the worst.

This hotel was conveniently located for our needs: it was within walking distance of St. Paul's cathedral, and right across the street from a tube station. Our room had a small kitchenette, which was great. It was clean and quite large, as compared to many others.

The only complaint (and it is significant) was our credit card number was accessed and used for a large amount of fraudulent transactions in London. We know it was compromised at this location because it was not used anywhere else. The charges were for pizza, a room at another hotel, and other items.

Obviously a shady worker at this hotel had access to our account number. I think the management should review their security protocols and study who has access to sensitive information. It just may be that anyone who works there may have access, including maintenance personnel, etc.

If it would not be for the security breach, I would give the hotel a higher rating.

8
Good size rooms for London that come with a little kitchenette so you could cater for yourself. But within walking distance there are many restaurants or food stores. In fact, being guest in the citadines you get 40% discount in haché burgers and a discount in pizza express too

Went there for a conference and it was adequate but there were issues. Things like the staff not letting us have the door open whilst people were coming in. One of the two projectors was broken so they changed it for one that worked but it wasn't much better. Blurry with one colour not displaying. The food was very average.

This hotel has a fabulous location, poised between the City and the West End. The staff, all of whom are from the Continent, are very helpful and friendly. The design and amenities in the rooms, however, leave a great deal to be desired. In a country with such dreadful weather as the UK, it is not very clever to have a feature wall of dark olive green, which sucks up what little light there is in the room. This problem is made worse by the weak lighting, with (at least in the studio room) an underpowered standard lamp and a weak little desk lamp you can get on request. By the bed, the reading lamps—poorly fitted to the wall and often with burnt lampshades—are too high up on the wall to actually help you read a book. There are no plugs for phone charging at the bedhead either. The design of Citadines London is greatly inferior to Citadines in other countries such as Japan or Thailand, and as such it cannot really be recommended for anyone who has work to do, which is one of the basic functions of an apartment hotel.

Only here for a workshop during the day so didn't stay over. Great place to run a workshop from though, we had a dedicated room for the day with drinks and biscuits supplied and topped up throughout the day.

Nice enough hotel, rooms where clean, most of the staff where polite, had one person on reception who was a little rude, cleaner left her key card in my and i wanted to return it as it has access to every room. So far so good

We had the room directly above the main entrance which was very good. It had a semi-circular window which covered the entire wall of the room and let in loads of natural light. I think it's the only room with a window like this. The rest of the complex is standard enough but great location and very comfortable.

This hotel is quite suitable for a foreign class on their London school trip.

You have easy access to supermarkets and fast food restaurants nearby, it is also a short trip to next Underground station, which is the Holborn station.

Hotel rooms are superbly furnished, beds and chairs are comfortable and well lit aswell.

The employees are nice, smiling and helpful.

The only problem was the internet connection, which could be quite unstable for some people, and some others could not even get connected to it.

Good for a business trip but definitely not for more. There is a lack of small details such as a hair dryer an iron or proper sample cosmetics as you would often find it in hotels of that kind. Staff was very mixed, from very friendly to the total opposite.

My go-to place every time I visit London! Decent sized rooms and virtually no disturbance.

I wish they had something called as "room service" - trust me, it's non existant. And, cleaned rooms more frequently - which in a way might be good for the environment.

But I'd definitely recommend it to others going on mid-budget.

We had a room on the back of the third floor. There isn't much view but it's very quiet. The room was a good size, but the decor was a bit gloomy, with relatively little light from the small window and one wall painted dark brown. The little kitchen is of limited use because there is no salt, oil etc... You would have to buy everything if you wanted to cook something, but it's handy to keep a few pre-prepared foods or fruit in the fridge.
Outstanding wi-fi - the best I've seen in any hotel. Three millisecond latency, steady 140Mbps downstream and even faster, 160Mbps, upstream! There's a nice lounge area near reception, if you can put up with the background music and the TV.

Our family had a great stay at Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden. Our unit had one separate bedroom with 2 beds, which was perfect for the kids. The main living room had a pull-out sofa (which was surprisingly comfy), and small but nice kitchenette, and also a small table where we ate our breakfasts. The hotel is clean, reasonably quiet, and nicely appointed. Overall we couldn't have been happier. One final note on the location: this is right across the street from Holborn underground stop, which connects to the Central and Picadilly lines, so it's super easy to get around. Also, it's a short walk to Covent Garden and lots of other things. Highly recommended.

Good sized room with a large bed. The kitchen also had good equipment etc although we didn't use it. Okay bathroom and shower/bath. Room comes with a free smartphone you can use for calls texts and internet. WiFi works well. Didn't use the bar or restaurant but looks good. Great location for theatres.

Ryan Cooper 3 years ago – Google

8
The staff are helpful and the rooms clean and bright with that apartment feel. The hallways to the rooms however are looking a bit worn and dark. The continental breakfast did look the part and had decent selection, though some items were still partly frozen! We weren't the earliest of birds either, so could have been worse for early risers.

Location is good, not too far away from all the sightseeing and is on a charmingly bustling busy Street. If you are a light sleeper you may not enjoy the bed comfort levels but the noise level from the street is minimal, even on the busy side.

Overall I'd say that the rooms, although pleasant, aren't the hotels saving grace or the reflection in price. But this is London after all, and the charm of the city is the most important part.

4
The place was fine, just giving 2 stars because the breakfast was an exuberant 12 pounds, with that they don't give you anything but cold cuts and some hard boiled eggs. You can just go around the corner snd for 5 pounds you can get a legit English breakfast with fried eggs and bacon and sausage and hash Browns and on and on. At Citadine it's 12 pounds for a very poor breakfast....
