Great downtown location. Modern decor, clean rooms. Small lobby, but the hotel makes up for it with an area called the corner, with latte machine, snacks papers, TVs, couches. Very friendly staff. Very nice bathroom with large shower.
Cons:
Spotty maid service, every day of 8 days they overlooked something. One day no vacuum, another day no washcloths, etc. Mattress and bedding were not that nice. More befitting the extended stay hotel quality then a 4 star downtown hyatt. Small thing but they do not use fitted sheets on the mattress, so they tend to come undone if you toss a lot. Also they only single sheet the bed so if you like to cover up with a sheet you have to ask for it. Small things yes, but street noise coupled with less than ideal bedding can make it hard to sleep.

The only reason for deducting a star is that the parking prices are outrageous - verging on gouging: valet is $66 per night! The self park option isn’t better at $48 a block away. The good news is that you can find other parking lots within 6-8 min walks for less than $20 per day.

Here is a photo I took from the room looking down on the street from my 20th floor room to give others some kind of idea of the wonderful view of the city that the upper floors have to offer.

I felt like I was staying in an office. But in a good way. We were in a corner room, with a somewhat odd and elongated layout with a great view down West Monroe St. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The room was immaculate. The shower pressure and temperature uniformly pleasant. The service was always friendly.
I think we would have wanted something a little more cozy and/or romantic; but if I were staying in Chicago for business I would really want to stay here again.

My favorite part was the shower. I know that might be a little more information than you want....but the shower was AMAZING!
Completely updated and modern. I could have spent hours in there!

During my stay I was originally placed in room 612. Unfortunately, the air conditioner rattled and in general was very loud. The front desk allowed me to switch rooms, provided concierge, and comped complimentary food and beverage discounts for the inconvenience. I didn't request this, but it was immediately offered!
Overall, I felt that all staff for the hotel cared about the customer experience, and wanted to ensure everyone had an enjoyable stay. I would recommend this hotel and I would visit again.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful and attentive to my needs.
The "corner room" on the fourth floor was properly stocked with snacks and it was nice a place to relax.
You can also find cheap parking not too far from the hotel. The address for the parking place is 640 West Washington. The cost for 12 hour parking was $10.35
Highly recommended!

I was put in a room near the elevator that faced another building and had workers outside the window who would occasionally pas by the room. This surprised me because the hotel did not seem busy at any point in my stay. However, I did not ask for a new room, so I don't know what would have happened if I had.
The room also seemed fairly small for a king hotel room, but this is probably typical in the city. It was very modern, with an interesting bathroom set-up. The toilet and shower were on opposite sides of the bathroom, each behind their own door, with the sink in the middle.
The best thing about this hotel was the bed. It was one of the comfiest beds I have slept in! I have done quite a bit of traveling lately, and it seems many hotels are moving away from duvets and towards a blanket between two sheets (easier to clean I assume). This duvet was heavenly, as were the pillows. Some may not like the fact that the bed is so low (no box spring), but I didn't mind.
The biggest con was the wait for the elevator. There were ample elevators but it always seemed to take a while for them to come and, when they arrived, they did not make a sound. I was therefore very vigilant to elevator arrival and, on a handful of occasions, the button was no longer illuminated but the elevator never came! Not sure what that was about.

We called ahead to ask the front desk a question and the young lady who answered the phone was very courteous. Valet parking was available directly in front of the hotel entrance. It was similarly priced to other downtown overnight valet services.
Upon arriving we were greeted at the front door by a friendly doorman and valet. Our check-in was smooth. I believe the same woman who answered the phone was helping us do so.
Our room was very spacious and clean. We were shocked at the ample breathing room in this downtown hotel. The bathroom was impressive, and while low, the bed was comfortable.
