We are Canadian and ate dinner at the Nimb Hotel at the Brassier.
I've seen the majority of people were quite pleased with their meals.
The actual dining room was booked so we ate at the bar area served by the bartender. BTW - he was fantastic ... engaging and friendly and eager to please.
The downside was the meal. My husband had a rib-eye steak that was thin and grisly. He ordered it rare to medium rare and received medium well. He was disappointed. I had fried lobster which I'd never had cooked that way before, which was good. So we must have maybe had the odd bad steak (grisly- that happens) and maybe they're all thin rib-eye steaks.
We wouldn't go out of our way to stampede back.

The food and athmosphere at the Bar'n'Grill Nimb is simply superb. A three course meal consisting of salmon starter, beef main course and chocolate cake dessert was crowned with the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 soundtrack playing in the background. Even the side fries for the main main course were prepared with uttermost passion towards the potatokind! The grill's choice for music alone deserves an extra star; 7/5 would visit again.

Beautiful, great staff, great breakfast room service BUT overdesigned in the service of design. Now we love well designed spaces BUT there are no drawers, oops there are two under the breakfront. There are no useable surfaces, no hooks in the bathroom. The gorgeous flat screen tv cannot be seen from the bed and does not swivel. The Bang & Olafson phones are unuseable.....even after 2 lessons. That said, it's a wonderful place......and if you don't mind living in a rock concert till midnight or the clang of garbage trucks (we're from Manhattan and felt right at home) it's perfect. At the moment, the best hotel in town. We are told that the Angleterre is spending $200 million dollars to re-do. Hmmmmmm.

But then you notice that there's really no place to put things, and that some simple things, such as the phone, are very tricky to use.
On the positive side, the staff are extremely professional and helpful, the location (inside Tivoli, but with a street entrance) can't be beat, and the entire hotel has the same laid back, effortlessly cool vibe.
So, a beautiful, beautiful place to be, but not an especially convenient stay. Try it if you want to know you're not in a cookie cutter hotel, but stay away if you want the same old, same old experience.

This would have been a fun experience with homemade popcorn to watch the chef go apeshit. Not when you pay 450kr for a steak and want to have a romantic night out. Not recommending the place to anyone.
